When given a choice of ANY wonderful historic car made by one of the great german marques; they choose a frankly ordinary, mass production, uninteresting standard line production car. Of course you are entitled to your own choice and opinions; as am I.

I've been real happy with my 135 dct. I would certainly love to put the Stage 2 Dinan tune on it along with a few other things. I also really love the look of the 4 door M4. I love the look of the M6 also, but that's a little too much car for me.

You might all think i'm lame, but if the car would last FOREVER:
a silver E46 M3 with CSL trunk. I want to keep all the electronics, so not the actual CSL. Just the trunk spoiler. Oh and in... Manual.

To me if an E46 M3 was release this moment its an M2... the driving dynamics and size are similar. The M2 is amazing. Put a huge smile on my face when I drove it because it seems familiar in a way. I agree... superior in every way but the E46 M3 design is just amazing... right in between old and new and simply timeless.

Pretty partial to the 2010 M6 with the V-10 I had...lightly modded but purchased new from dealer during a gas crisis-list was $105k and got it for $79k. V-10 awesome and great to drive. What a sound! Very fast for an N/A car.

An unpopular choice, but if someone was _giving_ me one BMW that I'd need to keep for the rest of my life, it'd be a BMW M760Li xDrive.
I know it's big, some would say ugly, some would say it's "an old man's car"; But when I'm still young, I'm going to love the V12 Twin Turbo, and as I get older, I'll enjoy the Limousine more and more. It's a compromise, but "owning one car for the rest of your life" is a compromise .. and over the long term, I'll choose ludicrous power and extreme comfort over 'throwability' and handling. But right now, I'm quite happy with my open top 1er. It's a good balance between comfort, power and handling for my stage of life. |
