Guy, Any further review or thoughts to share on the ECU power upgrade?

I've actually got to do some timings but overall I don't think it's hugely faster IF you stick around the 4-5.5k rpm mark. Overall acceleration times up to 100mph are about 3/4 sec different. BUT (and it's a huge but!), the torque available between 2-3k rpm is pretty astonishing. Kickdown is utterly pointless now as by the time the gearbox has dropped a couple of gears, if you'd just stayed in gear or dropped just one cog, the car's already steaming forward. So I now tend to drive around in Comfort (as springs now make that perfectly viable even for pressing on). Most of the time, wallop from 1,500rpm is enough. If I want more, just throw gearlever to Sport to give me another 500rpm. The surge from 2k through to 5k is pretty impressive indeed and you can find it piling on speed pretty quickly. In Sport + with gearlever in sport as well, really you've got to be silly speeds to notice a huge difference with standard car. The reality is I spend more time in first mode so for usable performance it's bonkers. Absolutely no doubt with rwd only, the old traction like would be going off. I can now get it to come on in the wet on some surfaces!! Is it worth it? At £3k I'd say probably not. Does it make the car better? Yes. I really want to drive a standard 335d again now to compare (which hopefully will do in next couple of weeks). So there you go! The real test will come when comparing to standard.

Afraid mine doesn't look that cool at all but at least I have some suspension - that looks HARD!

To the lowered but even Grander Duke of Sussex:
Please try a 330d sDrive with adaptive suspenders and compare its ride and handling to your car. I would be most interested and look forward to a grand essay from you. Thanking you in anticipation. Toodle-loo!

I see that ACS now do their full coilover kit for 435d, but not if you have adaptive suspension, but not for the 335d... Confusing!

Does it help with those situations where you brake for a tight bend, so off the throttle completely, then as you put the gas down, you've got that delay till the turbos spool up? I had hoped that the twin turbos and cleverer new gearbox would improve that over my old 330d, and it has a bit but not entirely. Using the paddles is still the best way round it that I've found.. I guess it's just a Diesel engine characteristic.

In the US they've fitted the PSS10's for the 335i to the 335d X drive along with the ARB's from a 335i with shorter drop links.
I had PSS10's on my M3 CS and considering it was low the ride was fine. PSS10's aren't cheap though....

I've actually decided for now not to replace my springs, my reasons:
Generally i ride around in comfort mode probably 80% of the time, this is indeed a little bouncy, but actually on our roads quite pleasant for long journeys. As i am in comfort for quite a bit of the time when i switch to sport (just chassis only) i can actually feel quite a bit of difference, and then into sport+ (5% of the time) I really really notice it. I took the opinion that having all the options available to me makes it more of a jekyll and hyde, and i think if i were to have the springs fitted it would be more of a hyde and hulk. Of course i may change my mind in the future and just the fact that there is a very affordable option makes me feel better, so will see how it goes. The ride height doesn't bother me at all to be honest i quite like its stance, maybe im a little crazy but just my view. Cheers

The stance is low but still looks OEM. I can't wait! I wonder if this is lower than an S Drive?

Price includes fitting if you come to us, otherwise it's 1 hour for fitting. Yes it's just a box, plus our warranty of course. 204hp instead of 136hp, so effectively you get a tuned 318i for your money.

AC Schnitzer springs are fitted in accordance with BMW instructions and these do NOT require replacement stretch bolts.
