Shaky Wheel
Hey all,
So I have a 2013 328i xdrive lowered 1in with Dinan springs. Had a set of TSW wheels on them for a year or so with no problems whatsoever. I am upgrading cars and today, I swapped back to the stock wheels on the 328 and now when I go over ~25 mph my steering wheels evenly shakes really bad. The only thing I can think of is that I somehow couldn't tighten the bolts tight enough because they are lug centric (I only had a 4 way)? Thinking about just taking it to a shop and having them tighten down every wheel and see if that makes a difference. Any input on what could be wrong is appreciated. Thanks, S |

Wheels recently balanced? Missing weights? Tires are round, no flat spots?
Start simple, take off each corner. Inspect wheel, tire, weights, inflate/deflate if needed, reinstall. Then go for another drive. |

My other wheels apparently had unnecessary hub centric rings on them. They were stuck on the hubs and I couldn't tighten the lugs all the way down. Once I forcefully removed the plastic rings, the lugs tightened down and the shaking stopped.

Glad you figured it out. I forgot all about rings. I always make sure to buy wheels that don't need them. I was switching out the snow wheels to oem wheels on my daughter's car and broke two rings. I need to order new ones before winter hits.
