Just dropped mine 1.4 inches (front), 1.6 inches (rear). So far so good. I will get it realigned in about couple of weeks once the springs fully settle, and update again.

P.s. I'm on coilovers (flatout suspension) with strut brace... car handles like it should for a sports sedan... can't beat it... |

Xdrive suspension is different and wagons need different springs than sedans.
I was tempted by springs but at now 70k miles by the time I added correct shocks and struts plus the correct Eibach 320d wagon springs… I was only a couple hundred away from KW street comforts. So that’s what I did. 1.5 front and 1” rear, still have my passenger and cargo capacity without tail dragging, amd can clear the 12! ridiculous speed bumps at my daughters school drop off.

Here's my drop at two different track days. I don't have any rubbing issues. Can't say for sure how much of a drop it is, but I'm running on BC coilovers.
Not as harsh of a ride as you might expect, but it's amazing on the track. I do end up kissing random speed bumps and parking lot approaches with the front bumper if I'm not careful.

H&R 28832-1 H&R 28878-2 They also seem identical What is really the difference between the 2. |

Fellow (staggered) xdrive enthusiast need some input on the best option(s) to obtain a more comfortable driving experience...
Currently on H&R Sport Springs with stock suspension on 18" runflats with the goal of changing to non run flats with my Arc8 (staggered 18") in the summer & want to avoid bottoming out - - especially when driving over those bumps or potholes, which feels like the entire car hit a brick wall.... Option 1 *replace all 4xshocks with OEM, H&R Sport Springs & incorporate Bump Stops (read on the forum that F80 M3/4 Bump Stops would work & are compatible)? Option2: Bite the bullet & incorporate either BC Coilovers / KW / Bilstein? Goal: just want to be able to drive the car without being concerned about what bump/pothole is going to cause me grief or bend/crack my rims |

option1 makes no sense. H&R springs are stiff and stock dampers are not designed for the amount of lowering the H&R springs provide. degradation of the stock dampers is likely the cause or progressively worsening ride and bottoming out on large compressions. of course the runflats as well but you already know this.
i'd change to Eibach Pro-Kit springs, F80 bumpstops. if you think your stock dampers are compromised swap to Koni SA(sporty yet comfortable) or Sport Yellow(sportier and firmer than SA with adjustable rebound) if option2, KW street comfort or V1. BC are too low for x-drive and low quality. Bilstein are rough riding due to high gas pressure/monotube design. |

Yes it’s x-drive. I’m running BC coil overs at the moment.

https://eibachshop.com/index.php?p22...gs-bmw-4-coupe fwiw, eibach is not as low as H&R, however this makes is better for the front axles. going low on x-drives adds more stress due to axle angle and some members also experienced the axle unseating from the joint. if you have adaptive dampers, the only way to retain EDC functionality is with a EDC replacement such as Bilstein Damptronic or OEM(very expensive) ora full coilover with EDC/DDC. if keeping OEM adaptive, you may also consider Dinan Shockware which is basically a "flash tune" for the OEM damper I located Koni Sport Yellow but couldn't locate Koni SA part for you car. I'll get back to you if I find it. |

Perfect, I made note of the part# for Eibach - - thank you In the interm, what's the part#/link for the KSY....I'll do a cost analysis to see what makes the best sense btwn opt1 & opt2, but agree - - keeping xdrive (EDC) is significantly more expensive vs RWD ((exhale..))!! |
