340i. drive Extended Warranty . . .yes or No
I'd like to know what you think about a fully loaded extended warranty from Ensurall for my 2018 340i xdrive, manual, with M performance packs 1 & II.
I'm the original lease holder and it has 33,000 kms on it. The cost for the fully loaded coverage is $C3,800 + tx with $100 deductible The warranty is good for 5 years. Tx |

Usually you know within the 1st year of usage eg. (20,000km) whether or not you've got a lemon on your hands, and you're well past that point.
I personally don't believe in extended warranties for anything. If I'm buying a quality product I expect it to last. Of course maintenance is key. As you mentioned you're the only lease holder, I supposed you're aware of each and every one of those 33,000kms you've put on the clock. Hence you're the best judge as to if you may need any extended warranty. $3,800 or $760/ year is a lot of money to throw away for "what if"… I heard that those prices can be negotiable, may want to ask for a discount if you decide to go down that route. Good luck! |

It also depends on how mechanically inclined you are. If you don't know much or want to get too involved, it's not THAT bad to get the warranty.
In general, the B58 is a pretty reliable engine and the F30 platform isn't bad either. There is a relatively low risk to not getting the warranty. If you were talking about the E90/92 M3s and their engines that spin bearings... Maybe a different story haha. |
