You can keep your P1 or LaFerrari. This is what I'd have if money was no issue.

What a piece of mechanical wizardry. That car was my favorite and stole my heart when I was in 4th grade at 8 years old. 23 years later, another sports car has yet to evoke the same level of emotion the F1 did/does for me. Such an amazing machine. . . as the old cliche goes: "they just dont make 'em like they used to".

Love that car. I saw that car and Bill Auberlin at Ofest at Barber a few years ago. Here is a pic of one of the other BMW drivers braking too hard on cold tires and spinning it around in a cloud of smoke I caught most of the spin.

Hahah that put a smile on my face. It's got to be incredible to drive one of those things anywhere even NEAR the limit. The F1 has remained comfortably at the top of my "money is no object" car list from the beginning. |

Enjoy... Look at his face.. pay attention to rev match down shifts... A car that truly is alive, raises hairs.
2072 lbs.. and also beautiful.

You could argue all day which car between the P1, LaFerrari and 918 is better. Back then, there was NOTHING like the F1. And the fact that I've yet to see one IRL makes me sad.

Favorite supercar & as echoed in some posts above, easily favored over many modern supercars.
Even though Clarkson prefers the F40, i still love his description of what makes a supercar. "[Supercars] are designed to melt ice-caps, kill the poor, poison the water table, destroy the ozone layer, decimate indigenous wildlife, recapture the Falkland Islands, and turn the entire Third World into a huge uninhabitable desert… but only after they've nicked all the world's oil." & i'd agree; the supercars of the bygone era lacked any sense of political correctness or compromises & that is what made them so awesome.

Absolutely the greatest car ever made. Great driving too with the heal-toe and fast shifting.
The N/A V12 ///M engine (made with parts of gold from what I remember) with over 600hp and a 6MT is what made this car a supercar. Almost 20 years old and can surpass 230mph with a N/A engine, it can never be replaced with these new Hybrid/Forced Induction Super Cars. |
