Still think the outside photographs ugly, especially the fender to light transition, the aforementioned hood seam and the detailing on trunk's transition from sheetmetal to lights, though the proportions seem spot-on and the lengthening is less noticeable with the real-world photos, but have to say I am loving the sport line interior with the manual stick. The better exposed, non-publicity photos seem to truly show the material finishes and transitions, and give real light interaction as opposed to the renders and the photoshopped to oblivion publicity stills.
Eagerly awaiting the 3/4 series coupe redesign. |

quick question - if the track was widened as it shows on the spec sheet, why didn't they but wider rubber (like 265s) on the rear in sport pkg?

The optional 19s have 255 rears, but as for the others wheel/tire options my guess it goes back to ekeing out the best possible fuel economy they can. The wider the tire, the more resistance, and theoretically, the worse the efficiency. Now, its true that the economy number shown on the window sticker won't change with the 19" wheels, but by offering the narrower wheels standard on all models, they probably were able to get the EPA to test in that configuration.

am I the only one who's still not sold on the flat(ness) of the front fascia? its just not sporty enough for my liking.....
and also curious as to where on the cluster will the gear numbers appear for the steptronic models once sport mode is engaged?? I feel that on my e92 its such a hassle to look all the way down at the bottom of the cluster and take my eyes of the road to do so.... |

So when does this model hit the U.S? Will it be a 2012 or 2013 model?

It didn't bother me so much before, but seeing the AW 328i pic, the hood seam looks atrocious. Why in the world wouldn't BMW just carry the hood down to the headlights and kidney grilles, as they did with the current 1-series and 3-series???

Having sat in a 328i sport manual in Detroit, I can say that the shifter is light and slipped into every gear back and forth. The throws are definitely shorter than my M5, but I haven't driven an E90 manual (except for an M3), so I don't know how it compares to that, perhaps a little shorter. Very nice fit, finish and feel throughout, got me itching to switch to a 3..
Exterior styling is a win. As far as interior styling goes, I am a little bit at odds with a few things, like the Ipad meteor on the top of the dash, the asymmetrical hang down section (no vertical line next to your right knee as on the other side) and the hollow area between the lower section of the hang down and the tunnel - this makes it look like an old American car that sits three abreast with a column shifter... I know I am exaggerating, though. If I had influence over the styling, I would have wanted something a little more reserved like a 5 series layout, rather than modern. Overall, I like it, add that to the want list.

wow i am in love with every single pictures, both cars the luxury and the sport line looks magnificent!!!
the red stiches give that nice accents, the interior quality seems up a notch! both interior design and exterior design are going to be classics for years to come! and yet still up-to-date with the modern design... I dont regret putting down my order way before seeing those pictures! I can't wait for my Imperial Luxury 335i MT with 19inch !! it's gonna looks so nice, practically the same as what we see here on the Luxury line! PLEASE SEND OVER THE REVIEW OF THE Manual transmission on the Luxury 335i.... can't wait to take my ED car in April !!! The hardest for me would be to wait for the car until July to be on SOCAL home turf. |

In these pictures, the Luxury Line 335i looks better than the Sport Line 335i.....IMO. I wonder how a Sport Line 3er would look in Imperial Blue.....with Red leather seats.
It would be interesting to see which Line would sell the most...... |

These should be hitting the streets pretty soon in the US. Fuel consumption for the 335 is amazingly good.

I'm thinking of going Imperial Blue, Sport Line. I saw Imperial Blue in person on an F10 this past weekend and it really is a nice color.

It's time to practice holding your breath for free diving, or for saying "I have an Individual Color 335M Performance Xdrive Convertible Sport Line BMW"...

Nice car to see.
...shame that this car does need a EU sized licenseplate on the front or else it looks a bit weird. The panel between the kidneys and the lower grill does look a bit to high/big...: And a bit of a downer that you guys do still need those orange reflectors at the front... |

I just hope that everyone else would disregard and dismiss the blue on F30... ... because as i have an Lux Imperial 335i on order, i would just hate it see the same car as mine everywhere in the street... Quote:

Eager to see different colors, these are starting to get old. I think dark silver and more pics of the tan interior and dash is what I'm after. Really not feeling this steering wheel, looks like Msport is going to be necessary, hopefully you can spec that separately if you can't afford the 3000 EUR for Msport full option...
