F30 US Press Launch: Sport Lines in Alpine White, Glacier Silver and Melbourne Red
BIMMERPOST NEWS F30 US Press Launch: Sport Lines in Alpine White, Glacier Silver and Melbourne Red The most prevalent model brought out by BMW NA to the US Press Launch is the Sport Line model (in both 328i and 335i forms), which makes sense considering that half the event consists of a track day at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Here are photos of an Alpine White, Glacier Silver, and Melbourne Red sport line models. For a comparison of the different F30 lines, see our F30 Lines Guide. The following is a summary of the F30 Sport Line: Sport Line

No. US will not get that. Those are international options.

Jason, do you know if the front amber reflectors are flush like on the E90/92 or are they raised?

Are all these Sport Line press cars wearing the optional 19s? It looks like they are, but it can be a little difficult to tell the difference between the Sport Line 18s and the 19s.

Yeah, Jason, I was just having tough a time telling the difference with the cars in the pics. Thought maybe you knew off the top of your head.
Looking a little closer, it appears to me like this: AW 328i Sport = 18s GS 335i Sport = 18s MR 335i Sport #1 = 18s MR 335i Sport #2 = 19s Edit: Upon further examination it appears there are two different GS cars too - one with the 18s and one with the 19s. Anyone else agree with my list, or am I off? |

Wow
I'm digging that Alpine White exterior, and the Coral red interior looks phenomenal. I think I'd prefer the Piano black trim to the Brushed Aluminium, sporty but still classy. |

I like the silver one. It's a good thing I recently bought a 2011 335i!

I love the 19's!! and how they*(the spokes) flare out at the outer edge circle (as opposed to and compared to the 18's spokes, which have perpendicular connections to the rim's edge)
Am very glad to have switch to the 19's on my Lux order |

Nice! Was there an M3 at this event? in that case as a pace car or what?
Looking out of the glacier silver 335 at img 36 I think I clearly see an M3 badge on the car in front (red one) Or is it just me? |

There were two M3s there - E90 and E92. Both were just being used by Joey Hand and Bill Auberlin to take folks out for some hotlaps on Laguna Seca.

I actually like the design on the 18s better than the 19s. on the other hand 18's are just about small enough to be on a wheelbarrow

Ah, thanks! Wish I could have been there. Launch here at Santa Land (at least with my dealer) is in just about a week. |

Now we are talking my kind of colors.
The white 328i sport manual would make a nice economical daily driver. Red interior is working on me though...maybe one day I will cave for the enthusiast statement and heck of it. Now how do I get an invite to one of these events?? The last time a got to belt someone else's car on a track was in 2008...
