My F30 328i Melbourne Red / Dakota Beige is finally home!
F30 328i Luxury Line, Melbourne Red / Dakota Beige Leather with Walnut trim,
Premium, Tech, Window shades, Heated front seats, Fold-down rear seats, PDC/Reverse Camera, Xenon lights, and Assist. I think the color is amazing. The color changes character dramatically with changes in light. It goes from a red/orange to a deep red depending on the amount and angle of the light. Here are a few pictures; not the greatest quality (I only have a little point-n-shoot camera) and nothing that hasn't already been posted a hundred times already. Digital cameras just don't seem to do justice to this color compared to seeing it in person. I haven't seen a picture of it that really captures it. Plus, this car is a real kick in the ass to drive; just incredible! |

Thanks, I intend to...
I'm not into changing the wheels, lowering, modding, etc. We just wanted a nice ride that has the right balance of performance, handling, features, comfort, and economy. We didn't find anything else close to what the F30 offers. This is our 3'rd BMW and we're glad to be back in the fold! |

I ordered my FIRST Bimmer and it's still somewhere off the coast of southern Mexico heading north...I think. I'm hoping the car lives up to all the good things I've been reading about. I think it will. I couldn't stop grinning during my 2 test drives!

I've only had the car 24 hours and it's just a blast to drive and I hope to continue grinning for a long time. That joy is combined with the terror of worrying about some texting moron behind me in traffic, let alone the dreaded parking lots... |

awesome!!! Congrats on finally getting your car after all the tracking!!
Great great combo, probably the first Luxury Red around here... A daring color, but it goes surprisingly well with the F30... i have always hated Red on any BMW but i honestly think the F30 is the First BMW that i am finally accepting the red to be a good color for it! Enjoy it Frogman! how long did it take you to get the keys to the car from its arrival at Port Hueneme!?

It took 4 days. The ship arrived last Thursday (5/24), so I assume they offloaded it during the day on Friday. Since it was going to be a 3-day weekend I would have expected a delay through the VPC, but my CA told me on Friday that it would be ready for pickup on Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. He called Tuesday and said it would be ready that evening and I picked it up! That was much faster than I expected seeing how long it took to finish production (which was delayed because of the headrest recall) and then waiting to get on a ship. It's now at the tint shop and I'm missing it already!! |
