What is the maximum attainable engine RPM in Eco-Pro mode?
In a stock F30 335i (no-sport settings turned on) AT, what would be the maximum engine RPM that the transmission would allow even if you slammed on the accelerator (but with no kick-down) ?
Would it cross 4500 rpm? |

Driving it goes > 5000 (I guess 7000/redline too...) but you have to go past some resistance in the throttlepedal so to speak. Cheers Robin |

Yes, for MT I expect it to basically go where you want it to go, since you have full control on not deciding to up shift.
But for an AT, the transmission logic decides when to upshift and that depends on various parameters (at least two of which parameters would be amount of throttle and driving mode). I was hoping someone with an AT would have noticed this.... |

how far your foot is down on the throttle...i can take it to redline in eco pro
just takes a little while to get a feel for the auto and what it takes for your foot. by now i know exactly how much throttle input i need ion each mode to get the shifts where i want them.

My 328i will shift between 6500rpm and redline in EcoPro when booting it, so it makes it no slower than Comfort or Sport on the move. Just less willing to shift down with a dopier throttle response.
