ditching the run flats on the f30
Has anyone ditched the run flats on the F30 and changed over to regualr tires? If so, what are you doing for flats? Are you using a repair kit or are you putting a donut tire in the trunk like many people did for the e9X?
If you're using a donut tire, can you give us the details on it? For the E9x, there was a website that many people are aware of that was selling a perfect matching donut spare for the e9x but I can't say that I seen anything or even heard of any mention about a donut spare working with the F3x.

we got rid of runflats on the winter wheel set. gonna buy the fix a flat compressor set and just keep it in the trunk for the winter. hopefully that works if...when the time comes.

Don't have any spare on the trunk at the moment, but I'm ordering a set of BMW original spare tire kit from the dealer. meanwhile I got my self a mini tire inflator kit (small compressor) stored in the trunk just in case. |

Is it a space saver/mini spare? How much? Sounds like a great idea. I switched my 135i RFT's to standard, but didn't have anything in case of a flat. My plan is to call road side if it happens. I'm changing the RFT's in my 335i in a couple of months. A BMW kit might be the ticket, as I don't use much of the trunk space. |
