Anyone have updates on the occasional blinking that svache mentioned? I am probably going to buy a set of 2 of the 68-LED rear lights to test out.

I tried the chrome ones from ebay they work good enough to get rid of the egg yolk.
Wondering about these white ones hoping someone can give some advice on fitment http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Can-bus-BMW...24w-led-2s.htm Will it fit the f30s? Last edited by rxander; 10-08-2012 at 01:12 PM.. |

Put these into my rear turn signal lamps this evening and they are working well. They don't seem to 'diffuse' as well as the regular bulb, but for turn signals I think that should be fine. Not sure if I want to do that for the brake lamps yet though. No errors so far... |

2pc 1156/Ba15s Super Red 42x 3528 SMD LED Brake/Stop Tail Light Bulb Red DC 12V
Yesterday, when I had my tires replaced, the lease company performed some checks on my car. They told me: "you know your turn signal blinks occasionally?" . So, in contrast to what I've been thinking: I also have this problem. Anyone been able to find error free ones? If not, can anyone tell how to add/install resistors?

I was just about to come back here and state the same-- was able to drive behind my car for about 35 minutes and saw 'random' pseudo-flashes maybe once or twice per side, at least. Would be interested if anyone has made any significant changes for this prob.

Just tried these. They are real bright and look good, but they give the turn signal error. However, they do come with resistors. I haven't gotten around to installing them yet. http://store.ijdmtoy.com/BAU15s-7507...507_sku200.htm

Any LED bulb that is used to replace a halogen bulb on the lighting of the car will need a resistor, unless it's interior bulbs. Which just need to be canbus.
So, if you change your front signals to led you need to wire up a resistor for each side, and same for the rear. This will avoid errors, hyper blinking and random blinks. If anyone is just trying to get rid of the yellow bulb look I would recommend a white halogen/chrome bulb that lights amber. |

Regarding coding fixes for LED Errors, has anyone tried not only changing the Warm/Cold settings to "not active" but also changing the "is LED" setting to active? Background, my new F25 has eleven coding lines for each bulb, in addition to the Warm and Cold checks there is a line just below those two that is labeled: "XX is LED". On my vehicle that line for the incandesent bulbs is set to Not Active.

Guys, I have decent experience in LED retrofits and I can tell you without a doubt there is no plug and play LED solution that matches your stock halogen output. Frankly, most of these solutions are borderline dangerous. If you want something that works well and looks OEM you will need to spend the time and effort to build a custom solution.

Quick update since this is still bothering me. I actually took a video of my rear turn signals and determined that the flicker happens once every 4.5 minutes (an odd timing).. I don't THINK there is anything in between those 4.5 minutes (I checked the 30/60 second intervals). I left a video running for 20 minutes and noted there was a flicker at every 4.5 minute interval.
In reading some older E90 threads, I'm thinking this is the check the system does to see if the bulb is burnt out. Since LEDs light up instantly vs incandescents (which wouldn't even light to a significant amount on that pulse), we get the flicker. I guess I'll do some more looking in the coding section, and/or figure out what else to do. I guess a flicker every 5 minutes is not that bad, although at night it is somewhat visible. |
