I doubt Park Assist has anything to do with the new Nav. In the US its available with Park Distance Control or part of the Driver Assistance Package. None of this requires Nav. Can be ordered with or without Nav.

I had previously mentioned that the BMWNA dealer training video for the new Nav Pro system specifically said the F30 would not get the new Nav Pro "this year". I wonder what they mean by "this year" and I think I now have a better idea.
Perfect time to introduce in a Spring modification. This would be so typical of them since its exactly what they did in 2010 when they upgraded to combox in Spring 2010. Right now that's my predication for NA market. http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=766380 |

Thanks for keeping us up to date! I'd given up on MY13. Once again, though, the reported schedule is too vague. "First Half" could be as late as June, which is close to when MY14 will likely start production.

I did some quick BYO for some cars that are definitely NOT going to get the new Nav (i.e. X5, M5, etc) and they still show the old Nav. Then I did some that just got the new Nav (i.e. 650i), and they do indeed show the updated version. I still stand by my theory from one month ago. Doesn't matter to me either way at this point, I've got an AH3 on order. |

Man, if this is true, I am going to be upset. I waited for nearly 2 months in anticipation of the new Nav, and when it finally got rebuffed by seemingly everyone in the know, I went ahead and placed my order Oct. 27 and prodcution started Oct. 29 (SA).
At the time of my order, there had been chatter about the unavailability of German slots for 328's, and consequently I got an SA build. Could all of the remaining old Nav parts been in SA, hence the shift of production there? |

The new Nav is pretty nice. I recommend that anyone test it out on a new 5er, etc., before committing to the old version. The best part is that I think we're only scratching the surface on its full potential. |
