Hi dude, I need ur comment for Rays G25 wheel in 19" :- Tyre shop said that I can install front 19" with ET35 running 225 x 19" 40 or 235 x 19" x 35 and rear 19" ET35 running 255 x 19" 35 or 265 x 19" x 30. So, F & R would be in ET35 ( http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/2009/pro...-19&for=import ), so in this ET35 what will happen on the wheel? Very close to the fender but won't hit it even car has been lowered by replacing of coilover? Or, the rear will goes far from fender which has made the front wheel look wider than rear? Thanks. |

FYI, the stock setup for 19" staggered is 19x8" ET36 225/40/R19 front / 19x8.5" ET47 255/35/R19 rear This obviously doesn't rub |

okay got mine mounted up this weekend and it didnt go as smoothly as planned only because I had some clearance issues with the MPerformance brakes in the front.
Here is my setup, Keep in mind these are my track wheels hence the aggresive tire size and offset 18" x 8.5 ET37 255/40 Yoko Neova ADO8 Rear fitment is perfect Fronts were hitting the caliper so I used a 10mm spacer to clear The 255/40's are a little beyoned squared on the 8.5 so the front is poking outside the fender by a good 1/2". Gonna try and get it on the alignement rack today to see how much negative camber we can dial in (not expecting much). The front fenders can be rolled so I may try that later on. Despite the less than ideal front fitment, on the street they only rub when encountering the dreaded high-speed dip. So being track wheels I'm concerned with high speed cornering and sweepers Hopefully there will be some camber plates coming to market in the near future, but worse comes to worse I trade out the 255/40 for 245/40 in the front and call it almost square i'll snap some pics next chance i get -Scott

How much extra clearance between the tire and suspension do you have now? Would it be rubbing there as well without the spacer? |

Thanks!
Got the car back on the lift and checked the tire/strut clearance without the spacers and you have about 1/4" I'm gonna try a 5mm spacer next to see if that will give me enough brake clearance, then I'm gonna get it on the alignment rack to see how much negative camber can squeezed out without modification (not expecting much)

Works great. Could have done 235/40, which would have been .3" less diameter over stock. 235/45 is .3" larger than stock. Not much difference either way. I figured the slightly taller sidewall would be beneficial if I hit a pothole. Since I'm going with AS tires I decided not to any wider on the front. 245/40 all around sounds like a good option too, especially for people not driving in all season areas. I like the steering feel with these Conti DWS tires. Seems to be a touch more "road feel". Also, I upped the psi front and rear by 6psi as the DWS have a bit less initial steering. With the upped psi it feels about the same as the OEM S001's at stock pressure. Ride quality is excellent and bump absorbtion is a good bit better than the RFT's. I had these on my 135i with the higher pressures too. I'm loving these tires and the extra width on the front feels very good. Plus these tires remove over 20lbs of unsprung weight compared to the RFT's. Last edited by RPM90; 12-16-2012 at 10:43 PM.. |

Looking for a square setup for the track as well. Some apex wheels. But they havent fit/built any for the new f30 series so gonna have to calculate myself.
They have some 18x8.5 et35/45. Im guessing i can do 35 up front 45 out back with the same tire size. Rotating can be done at a tire shop i suppose since they will only be for the track. These will be fitting with some coilovers. Need a better track setup ASAP! |

Reason I say that is the stock square setup (8.0" et34) is the same offset front and back. If you ran the 45's out back with the 35's in the front, the front's would stick out and the rear's would be sucked in by comparison |

alright, 5mm spacers didn't cut it and there is no additional negative camber adjustment available with the factory settings. So at this time I'm left with either modifying the front fenders or going down to a 245/40.
I've decided to go with the later since I'm concerned that without additional negative camber up front the 255's may not provide any additional improvement on the track (information provided by some others more learned on the subject of track suspension setup). Quote:
here is a picture of my set-up for reference

bit the bullet and went down to the 245/40 for the front...fitment is much better with no indication of any clearance issues. Here is a pic for reference
again this is a 18x8.5 ET27 with a yokohama neova ADO8 245/40

if you look at the rear in my picture you'll notice its just slightly tucked and thats running 18x8.5 et37 with a 255/40 ...keep in mind the yoko neova ADO8 have a pretty squared beefy sidewall
