I ended up w/ the burl walnut in my EB2 M-sport. While it was being built, I definitely had second thoughts about it versus the aluminum, but once the car arrived I was very happy with my decision. I think it warms up the interior a little bit, and honestly, it's so easy to remove - if I ever get tired of it, I can easily wrap it in vinyl or replace it with any of the other trim styles...namely the suede/carbon M pack setup.

The blue accent strip depends greatly on the exterior color of the car.
It does NOT work in my melbourne red. I would greatly have preferred to have the red anodized accent from the sport line, but BMW can't be bothered with doing the obvious. In pictures, the red anodizing looked VERY bright and gaudy. But, in person seeing it in reality, the accent looks very nice and not cheap at all. I'm sure the same is true of the blue. |

It also depends greatly on the interior colour since it's not an option with Coral Red. It's black or pearl chrome only with red leather

Could anybody with the blue trim confirm if it's made out of plastic or anodized metal? I can't find this information anywhere. Looks like plastic to me, but I haven't looked at it in detail.

I dig the blue as it breaks up the dash. The thing that bugs me is that the matte blue doesn't carry through the door panels where the plastic trim is just plain black, it doesn't match and i'm having a local Harley Dealer paint match the trim pieces on each of the doors to match. The aluminum hex is pretty awful though any I am definitely changing it to the carbon fabric kit. Any idea why you get red contrast stitching in the seats and steering wheel if you choose the red option in sport line but only the dash strips if you choose blue? This is annoying as well because neither can be altered inexpensively.....
I can confirm it's matte soft touch plastic NOT anodized metal...

I have EBII, black dakota leather inside, aluminum hex and blue stripe. I love it. IMO, the aluminum isn't quite enough to break up all of the black.
Also, the beige interior ends at the top of the dash and the pillars and headliner are all black on the msport... looked funny to me, otherwise I would have considered it. Third option was the coral red. I've seen some forum members EBII with coral red, and it looks sharp. I even had that interior on my Maroon colored E36, but ultimately I went with the black because the damn headliner just doesn't change in the Msport. I think that this interior would have been the only color to get me to change my decision about the blue stripe. One other note, stay away from the alcantara seats with the blue hex like in that first pic. I've seen an msport with those and they just seem kinda cheap when paired with the rest of the interior. Leather is always the way to go in a beemer. |

Does anyone know if the trim can be removed? I personally ordered the gloss black but I assumed if I wanted to change it up, it would've been as easy as removing the trim and blasting it with some plasti-dip or wrapping it...

Yeah it can be removed. See the classifieds section as some people are selling.
I am getting a mineral grey F31 with black Dakota. The options were the blue stripe or gloss black here in Canada on MSport. Blue would have matched only my brake calipers so I went with black. |

Just pop them off and have them painted, no fitment issues then. A Local Harley dealer is doing mine for $150 matte textured to match. cheaper than buying the new part for the GT and not knowing if the rears will fit.

With the CCA 20%, I bet they are pretty cheap. The wood door pulls were $70 each when I replaced them. All I would have to do is confirm the black base trim of the GT is the same part number as the F30. If that is the case, the upgraded door pcs will fit. Its just a matter of waiting a month or two.

get whatever you want, I am pretty sure you can easily change it after. I have seen people carbon fiber wrap that strip.
also, im sure some sort of aftermarket interior options will appear someday
