I don't think so. If you compared two generation models, of course the oldest one will look nothing but old. i.e. 996 vs. 991 or F32 vs. E46. But I don't think the problem is present when you are only comparing with the previous generation. This only holds truth for a few certain car manufacturer though and I think this means the consistency of design. Now when you look at Merc, the newer generations look like they all came from a different family when compared to their predecessor.

Though there are certainly visual differences, show side by side like that, they are also quite similar looking.

Really? R u that much of a fan boy that you can't handle someone else's opinion about a car? Its just a car. Don't take shxt personally. U like the styling, good for you. I don't and i expressed myself. Apologies if I insulted your personal tastes (not really though).

For me, the E92 was love at first sight. Great lines and a beautiful shape.
Loved the 4 series concept too. So far though, these shots are not doing it for me. Can't put my finger on it but I think it's the front. I can barely distinguish it from my F30, which would be fine except the coupe needs to stand apart in every way - especially now that they've branded it the "4". Now, if I could transplant my F30 interior into an E92 I might just have my perfect car! EDIT: No doubt it will look sharper irl - I hope so, because I'll be ordering one regardless for May 2014 |

Grand am comment was already mentioned? Hilarious. My apologies for recycling it. I should have stuck with the TMNT front-grill comment.

Th cars grow, the parking spots are the same... Ding, ding... Good business for dent repair shops. Where are we going? Do we really need these cars?
I am waiting to see it in person but I am under the impression that the 2 series Coupe will be a better choice... E46 was excellent in dimensions. |

The F32 shots are taken at night so it's going to look better regardless, the other leaked pics were far more underwhelming.
I'm going to have to see it in real life before passing judgement, but even on these pics, I think the E92 holds up pretty well. |
