Remove Automatic Gearbox to replace with Sport Automatic Gearbox
Anyone have a slightest clue on how to remove the automatic gearbox?
) Trying to swap the standard automatic gearbox with the sport one that comes with the leather boot. |

I assume you are actually talking about swapping the actual shifter rather than the entire gearbox (transmission). I think there was a thread recently about a person trying to retrofit this same thing on his vehicle, but I believe was having some difficulty because it may have needed some coding as well. He was trying to add the paddles though so maybe that was the problem.

Any reason for unclipping the console strip / trim? I removed the shifter level base trim and had access to the screws to the shifter... I believe that's it right?

AFAIK, you don't need to code anything to just retrofit the shifter (it's not programmable).
But, if you want the Sports Auto Transmission (SAT) features, you would change 205 to 2TB in your FA and then VO code EGS, KOMBI, and ICM. You don't want both option codes in there at the same time! You will get a stability error when you VO code the ICM, it should go away after you turn the car off and back on again. |

You are confusing the two things. There are 2 ways to code SAT. 1. VO coding. You simply change 205 to 2TB in your FA and "Code" (not FDL code) your EGS, KOMBI, and ICM. You do not need to do any FDL changes like what you list; the "VO coding" does it for you. This is the faster and possibly safer way to code SAT. 2. Change the individual FDL codes are you indicated. Using this technique does not require you to change the FA. You only need to change the FA when you VO code (like in # 1). The ECUs do not look at the FA while they are operating. If you want to FDL code SAT, then you missed the following: ICM / 3000 / LCMKod_B_S2TB aktiv You have to code the KOMBI to get Sport+ mode to show up in the instrument cluster. To do so, you have to code the following: KOMBI / 300C / FDS_MENUE_TEXT_1 to menue_3 KOMBI / 300C / FDS_MENUE_SIGNAL_1 to menue_3 KOMBI / 300C / FDS_MENUE_TEXT_2 to menue_3 KOMBI / 300C / FDS_MENUE_SIGNAL_2 to menue_3 KOMBI / 300C / FDS_MENUE_TEXT_3 to menue_3 KOMBI / 300C / FDS_MENUE_SIGNAL_3 to menue_3 KOMBI / 300C / FDS_MENUE_TEXT_4 to menue_3 KOMBI / 300C / FDS_MENUE_SIGNAL_4 to menue_3 |
