Hello guys,
Just borrowing this concept from my previous car forum as it worked out tremendously well and was a great tool for new buyers to research quickly and for existing owners to share and discuss what they LIKE about the car. Simply list as many as you can think of in point forms and discuss away! Please also do check out the other thread of things that WE DON'T LIKE about the 3/4 Series to round out the perspective! Thanks guys! dL |

I'll start.
- Love the engine. The N55 (inline 6) is simply amazing. The smoothest engine I have ever tried in this segment and price range. - Love the driving dynamic. The sport mode is ACTUALLY a sport mode, even though mine doesn't have DHP. The steering, exhaust note, throttle response and gear shifting responses alone make all the world difference. Go try an Audi dynamic mode and you can barely feel anything different. - For A/T drivers, this is the only car (besides Mazda and Porsche I think..) that ACTUALLY makes the +/- shift correctly. + pushes down and - pushes up. Better yet, if you want to change gears, obviously you want push the shifter towards you (talking in NA terms). This part they have done it right and logical, which questions me why all the other manufacturers are having a hard time with this simple logic. This is a make-or-break for me, hence why choosing a BMW was an easy choice for me in this segment. - 8 speed A/T sports. I think many people know this by now. It is so responsive that I always think it's a dual clutch, when it's not. This is a masterpiece along with the engine smoothness and performance. Pretty much perfection in my eyes. There's probably more, but these are my all-time fav. I'll list more when I can recall the rest. dL |

I am getting the HK on my current order, what do you like about it in comparison to the normal sound system? I always thought the norm was good enough but decided it was time for a bit of a change, but I have time to change my order...

In the things I don't like thread I listed around 3 things. Now to the fun part
- I love the drive. Words don't do it justice - the styling of the car is brilliant. I've had the car just 3 weeks and I've gotten more compliments on it than I did on all my previous cars combined. - like it or not, you're going to get a lot more attention in this car, both from the ladies, and from jealous douches. - love the interior, feels like I'm in a fighter jet, very driver orientated. Love how the interior lights change at night too, along with the orange line around the idrive knob -the thing that surprised me the most about this car is the engine. I never thought a 2.0 liter would be this fast and make this noise. I'm sure the N55 engine is much better all round but I couldn't afford it, and have no regrets with the 428i - The exterior styling is a perfect balance between elegance and aggresive - idrive is a joy to work with, compared to other car systems I've experienced. I've heard a few BMW owners complain about it and I'm sure it was worse before, but the 2014 model idrive is fast, responsive, and I find it great to work with -BMW maps is good too, no issues so far, love the widescreen display of the nav -HK sound was one of the MUST HAVE options when I was looking for this car and I'm glad I did. It makes every drive that bit more fun, being able to listen to your music selection is high quality surround sound. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you value your music and want better (not the best) quality, def upgrade to HK, it's worth it. I could go on all night about the things I love about this car. 1300 miles clocked, time to test out the LC! |

-BMW long wheel base, short overhang, and hoffmeister kink c Pilar.
-Handsome and business classy interior. -$1300 sport package with seats, suspension, m steering wheel. -actual usable back seats compared to E90 and older 3s. -high efficiency and good low end torque. Almost diesel like. -RWD and 50-50 weight. Overall dynamics. The whole package still bests all imitators. |

- Love the Coral Red interior on the F30 (not so much on the F32 due to the red dash!) - The 8 speed sport auto transmission exceeded my expectations - Exhaust burbles on the 335i
