Great comparison regardless of what packages are on the e92. Besides, the majority of the car is above the bumper line, that is the key difference here. You can always change wheels/bumpers, you cannot change shape and lines. I own an M Sport e92 and think it looks amazing, however I cannot deny how aggressive and beautiful the new 4 series looks. It really makes the e92 look bubbly, boring, and outdated *gasp* e92 looks you straight in the face with respect f32 stares you down looking for a challenge Here's to me counting the days until an EBII 435i ends up parked near me, it will be all over. But until then, I can be happy! |

Yes 4 is a better looking car but that 92 should have been with m sport - it would make comparison more interesting.

They're both beautiful and the F32 certainly looks more modern. Though I'd still happily drive an E92.
But what really bugs me: The F32 is enormous! Next to it the E92 looks really small and narrow. |

uhhhh that f32 is simply gorgeous. however, i cant imagine that car without the m sport package. imo it would be a really close comparison when both cars dont have the m sport package.

The man took his own time to park his car next to another car, take some pictures, and then post them to the interwebs for your enjoyment. Col Jessup would rather you just said "thank you", and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a camera, and start a post. |

I dunno I think the 328i is a completely different car than the 335i than the m3 only 328 owners will say otherwise. The styling without options on the base model is pretty boring. A 335is vs the 435i msport i'd definitely say the 335i is the nicer.
The 435i has those ugly vents and the terrible hood line with weak rear styling. The design is sharp in some passes (front) and wavy/mushy in others (side). It looks like an infinity all bulbus undefined and then just confusing in other spots like the back with a striking face (not as crazy as the lexus). I think the design is a step down, but I said that when the e92 and a5 came out and I was wrong. Maybe this will grow on me, but for now it not only looks larger and more heavy handed, id bet the rest of it is less sporty as well, starting with the n55. Sad to say, but that's where BMW is going. |

Like the 4-er more than the old E92... but didn't fancy the side vent & wing mirror...
side vent design should be more aggresive and the wing mirror (same with F30/F31), prefer the older E9X design, sleeker looking... at least BMW could copy from Audi or Merc where the side indicator blend into the color, i.e. unless it is blinking you wouldn't notice the blinker is there... and some tinting to make the blinker darker looking (rather than clear glass) looooooks way better than it is currently. |

I agree that this isn't quite an apples-to-apples comparison since the 435i is in M-Sport trim and the 328i is in plain clothes. Otherwise, I think the 328i has a bit simpler, more elegant look to it. And as others have noted, I'm having a real tough time getting used to that pinched front end look BMW has utilized on this car. The 435i looks a little too busy for my taste. It's like BMW was trying too hard to give it an edgier look. I like the cleaner lines of the E92.
