Internet vs. local dealer?
Are there downsides to ordering a car (F32, for Euro/PCD) from a distant dealer instead of buying it locally? Since it's for Euro and Performance Center delivery the dealership will never actually see the car. Will I have any hassles getting it serviced by the local dealer?

technically you can get your BMW serviced at any BMW dealership in the country......although the reality is some dealerships are assholes and WILL turn you down if you're not their customer. This happened to me when mine broke down a few blocks away from a dealership...they basically told me not to bring my car there because they dont have room for it...they have their own customers to take care of (yes he said it rudely).
as far as other downsides....there shouldnt be any...because you're right...its not a typical dealership delivery....at that point you can order from anywhere...whoever gives you the best price. The only problem I can see is document signing, if they need you to be present...but other than that i think you're in the clear
