Does anyone understand the story behind the change in numbering? Will the 640 become a 645?

Traditionally, M cars get most LCI upgrades while keeping the original production code. So, on paper there's no "M LCI", while in fact new parts go into the cars as they become available on the non-M counterparts.

Or you can also go and take your whining off of an unrelated f30 thread. You want to complain about the M4, I'm sure you can find somewhere related to do so.

Honestly my F82 low beams cause people to stop, brake-check me, and then aggressively turn their brights on thinking I have mine on. They seem 10x brighter than other cars (our 2013 Honda included). I'm very happy with them, and they will still be much better than most cars for years to come.
There will always be future improvements. There is no point in sour grapes. |

Don't expect the LCI to do anything to bring the F30 anywhere close to what the C-Class offers - this is only going to refresh the exterior while maintaining the interior. We're stuck with the current design of the F30 for the next 4 years or so.

Damn, those new LED tails look nice. I'll be damned if I waste the money to put them on my lease.
If its true that LED is now the option and Xenon is standard then I will be both happy and angry. Happy because I've said from the beginning that BMW should stop cheating out and make Xenon standard with LED as the option but pissed because I have the halogens

There usually are minor interior changes on LCI. On the E90 the cupholder trim and start/stop button are two things that most people will actually pay to retrofit into their pre-lci cars.

In any case, the new headlight/grill design will probably look more so like the 4 series than ever (if not exactly the same) especially because the option of LED headlights. One thing I noticed in those pictures though, the turn signal appears to flash at the top eyebrow (like F10 LCI w/ LED) vs. 4 series LED that have turn signals flash at the sides of the headlights. |

The main adjustment to the worlds best premium sedan will be new engines and adjustments to the steering as well as modern updated technology and a Plug in Hybrid Drive 330e. In order to keep the 3er as the benchmark in the segment. In regards to the C-Klasse. Whilst it may look like an S-Klasse the key difference from an S-Klasse is that the metal details might be metal in the S-Klasse , they are not in the C-Klasse.
