Here's a pic. It's hard to see the wavy dents at night.

Guarantee that if you bring it down here and take some hard turns, the thing will be creaking and rattling in a matter of minutes. Its not gonna creak going straight. You need to load up the chassis and make it twist.

I have it but I raised it to detect when our X3's trunk is open. So now the X3 is safe but the poor F30 is hurt

You do realize that HPDE events are not straight line drags races? I guarantee you he's pushing his car hard through those turns. And here's some more info for you; the f30 chassis is 30 percent stiffer than the e90, so it's definitely not flexy.

If those scratches catch a fingernail, they won't buff out completely.

I'll say it again. PDR the best they can and wrap the roof in gloss black.

You clearly don't drive it hard enough if its not creaking. I could take a new one, right off the boat and make it creak. In fact thats exactly what I'm doing. Mine just broke 400 miles and does it.
You're still being rude. I'm in Michigan where it's cold with terrible roads. I am not a sedate driver by any means and my car does not creak. And last, since you seem to pick and choose quotes to make non-valid points, the article says that the problem with the test car is likely the door seals. Not the chassis.

Done.
This by far! I don't think you want to have the roof replaced, you're gonna introduce new creaks and groans. If you pull the dents and wrap it you'll never know it was damaged.

It's a known issue with a known fix and it has nothing to do with how flexy the car is. It's just the door seal rubbing on the trim. Do you seriously think BMW would be bolting on the roof....

I have to admit the track is not off-road or done through a mine field. Yeah, I guess if it was in a mine field there would be some creaking for sure.

The track is described in detail here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadia...otorsport_Park

To be honest this is the first post I've seen in which such claims have been made about creaking. If the F30 is flexy a whole bunch of other cars would be considered down right elastic.

Good idea. Knock out the dents and do a CF wrap. Then again, I've never seen a CF roof with sun roof. It might look a bit too 'different'.

And why do you think the seals would be rubbing? Because the chassis is flexing!

Or because the door is attached to the car through a hinge on one end and a lock on the other as opposed to being welded to the car.

But the door isn't flexing, so the chassis needs to be.

Of course it does flex to an extent...... It's a car not a brick. But it's not flexing to the point that it's as if the roof was bolted and not welded. I know BMW owners are masochists who like to beat on the newest version, but this is ridiculous.
