N20/N26 - Timing chain or belt?

If belt, how long before changing it?

Lame question, I know. Just joined the forum. Apparently, I need to post once to activate.

Great forum. Just picked up my car 9 days ago. Takes some getting used to a much bigger and heavier car. Drove an E46 for 14 years.
