Spacers for rear only?
I have a 2016 340i with square setup and OEM 397 wheels (225/45R18 tires). I'm planning on installing 5 mm spacers on the rear only and have a few questions.
1. Would there be any concerns (other than looks) with installing spacers on the rear only? 2. I'm planning on getting longer bolts, but would like to use 1 wheel lock bolt which would be shorter. Should I be concerned about doing this? 3. Are there any preferred 5mm hub centric spacer/spacer kits that the gurus here would recommend? |

in theory widening the rear track only would cause more understeer, however with an increase of just 10mm rear track width i don't think you would notice.
with 5mm spacers i'd suggest a hub extender. there are some spacers with a built in extender. i'd try to find lub bolts and locking lug bolts all the same length if possible. |
