BMW 330e with advanced BT, unable to stream podcasts from Android
I was wondering if anybody can replicate this on their iDrive systems.
I have a UK spec 2016 330e with: Navigation system Professional Head-up display DAB tuner HiFi speaker system Comfort telephony w/ enhanced Smartphone When pairing my Samsung Galaxy S6, I can play Spotify, Google Play Music, or any other music player through the bluetooth connection, but Pocket Casts (or a number of other podcast apps I have tried) just don't work. The bluetooth connection symbol disappears and I get no audio at all. This is incredibly frustrating, and I wonder if it's just me, just the S6, just Android, or just BMW! Has anybody experienced similar or fancies trying with a similar setup? |

I haven't taken delivery of my F32 yet, but in my current car pocketcasts works fine over bluetooth, so I doubt it's the app not supporting bluetooth audio.

OK, I have looked into this further. My old Nexus 5 streams through Pocketcasts with no problem at all, so the problem is apparently specific to either the Galaxy S6 or possibly all Samsung phones.

My S7 Edge streams from Pocketcast to my 2014 F30, my old dual SIM S6 did too.
Try reinstalling Pocketcast. One more thing - you may need to go into Media and select your phone as the BT audio devices before it plays. My phone is random in that way. |
