I think next gen M2 M3 and M4 (and the bigger M cars) are all going to need a significant BHP upgrade, we're getting to ceiling effects now esp with the M240 and M2 being so close in performance.

Had this installed last week on my 340i in the UK. Fantastic noise and boost. It puts a huge grin on your face!

The numbers I've been given states 360bhp upgrade on S-Drive and 500nm torque. But that feels undercooked vs what it's actually giving out.

Not sure, but they did the same thing with the N55 PPK. And strangely enough, my car with the DCT was treated as a manual and didn't get the full increase in torque like a traditional automatic.

Didn't stop me from getting the PPK and a JB4 tho

This is really a nice little package. Usually I'm against BMW overpriced "performance" parts, but I can't really knock this.

With this kit BMW can stay near S4 and C450/ 43 AMG.
I would add the LSD too.

Garage List
Just in time for my car (which supposedly finished being built today in Germany) - waiting to hear back from my CA on how much it will cost for the PIA. Was planning on getting the MPE anyway, so this is really "only" $1060 more (using the MSRP of $1760 for the MPE). The invoice on a MPE is $1205, and so hopefully the difference in price between invoice and MSRP on the MPPSK is roughly the same. Hoping it will come in at around ~$2200 or so.

BMW just really don't want you to buy an M2...

Nice, 340i / 440i MPPK beat 2018 Audi S4 / S5 by 1 HP!
But still has less power than 2016 Mercedes C450 Sedan and 2017 C43 and C43 Coupe

340i / 440i MPPK
355 hp
369 lb-ft

2018 Audi S4 / S5
354 hp
369 lb-ft

2016 Mercedes C450 Sedan / 2017 C43 Sedan / 2017 C43 Coupe
362 hp
384 lb-ft

I suppose if you want the exhaust this is a good deal, otherwise not so great. If this increases residual that's nice. Those who buy probably will not get anything for it down the road. No value is ascribed to the PPK in my car by any used car guide, but it cost less than $1k.

You're playing a losers game if you're worried about adding value to a depreciating item.

+1, was going to say the same. Modifying your BMW is not good for your financial well-being. Everyone should know that from the jump. Do it only if it's a bad financial decision you can afford to make purely because it makes you happy.

You only get backfires on absolute lift offs, and even then, not all the time (only when very hot). The usual noise is reasonably loud burbles on lift off. That being said, the backfires get somewhat addictive and a bit of a challenge...

From everything I've seen that video overstates the machine gun backfiring.
