TC KLINE Coilovers
TC KLINE RACING F30 Single Adjustable Coilover Suspension
what do you think of this coilover? I'm going to check my car tonight but i didn't drive it today i went back and took my sis car because after the first bump it felt like the front end is destroyed, yes am using GC camber plate with stock stuff and H&R sway bars, and snapped a front right strut, now this is happening again, but with B8 struts i hope not. I'm going to lift it tonight because it's over40*C+ outside; at-least at night it's like 32*C.. any ideas? i thought of B16 and Ohlins too.. they seems good options but am afraid to break the stock top mount.

they are surprisingly comfy on the road, but the rear is a bit hard on short road bumps,
adjusting fronts is easy, but the rear shocks didn't come with the top triangle which allows adjustments without removing the shock and they said it was not included or removed. //can't remember I wanted to go with Ohlins initially because they are nearly priced, but I was afraid that it would destroy the stock top mounts, so I had to look for a "full suspension kit" after bad experience with GC plates eating my left stock damper and the replacement B8 shock. I have no regrets on this kit and i daily drive my car, yes its just 6-7 miles going to college and back, but i pass by 9 bumps going out to my college and 5-6 on my way back, I take them at 12-13 mph no problems, yes the camberplates produce extra noise and I got used to it Camber adjustments, the adjustments are -1 each step; cannot equal both sides. so I will be adding Superpro bushings next to adjust the camber a little. Will I do it again ? No, I had H&R sway bars prior the coilovers and it drove nice and stable. probably that I haven't had a chance to track my car, yet. My car was on the lift when we saw that the left shock nut was cracked and the car not drive-able. thank god i had my car in for pure turbo and figured that thing on the lift rather in a road accident. which lead me to buy a complete kit at the end. Rear struts are not bolt ons required some grinding off the top chassis mount to enlarge the shock hole. ( shouldn't be a problem if the top rear shock mount in picture was provided) and the washers provided were big and had to cut off one of them in half and sandwich the lower shock mount. (BigW //shock//SmW) not a DIY for me, I understood that the rear assembly isn't directly from Tc Kline but from Koni. the Front end is on another level, I just wish the rear was on the same level.

How did the shock nut crack?
TC understand some of frustrations with the rear shocks and he is currently working with Koni to develop a window style adjustment for the rebound damping. The removal of the rear shocks won't be necessary if that happens. |

I see you have GC plates here, is that the cause of the cracked top nut?
That video was an OE strut, but still didn't explain why it cracked. |

after trying the swift bearings...it didn't work and wasted labor on it
I have also added Polyurethane to the top it sits between Spring and camberplate, and it Reduced alot of the clunk/noise I was getting, however I couldn't get it on the bottom because then The poly would be sitting but the spring won't be seated properly. same thing for the rear springs, Poly on Top, but the bottom is still with stock rubber which is designed for Progressive springs, and the Poly cannot be seated properly on the arm. I would like to note that I didn't know the rear adjusters was that thing I can Spin, and ordered them not knowing I had them already on the car I shall raise the rear 1/2 finger more to see if it feels better.

I really Don't Know how it can happen, but you can search for GC plate thread in 2addicts forum you'll find a member with many revisions and labor wasted at home. Im going back home tomorrow maybe I can provide the broken B8 picture as well

The Swift Sheets didn't help at all thats why I bought Polyurethane link above, much better and eliminated most of the noise I Had.
