Help With ED Price for 2017 330xDrive
Hi Everyone,
I will be looking to order 330ix this summer and wondering if someone can check if I calculated ED price correctly. Base MSRP (USA) for 330ix (alpine white) = 40750 Black dakota leather with red highlight = 1450 Cold weather package = 800 Lighting package = 800 Premium package = 2450 Navigation system = 1950 Apple carplay = 300 Destination and handling = 995 Here is my calculation (not sure if accurate for year of 2017): 40750 x 0.95 = 38712 options = 8745 total = 38712 + 8745 = 47457 x 0.93 = 44135 + 995 = $45130 Is 45130 the price I should be getting from the dealer? Thank you. |

I think I read somewhere that dealers will be losing a point off the base price this year. So your calculation would be 95% to get to euro, then 94% to get invoice base + 93% of options to get to total invoice + 995.

Thats not quite right. Options are discounted a point more than base to get to invoice. Your target should be a set dollar amount (depending on the car, most suggest $500-1500) over ED invoice. ED invoice is 5% of the base under US invoice plus there is a $475 add on. The exact calculation is out on the web. It got me within a few dollars.
$40,750 x .95 x .93= 36,003 plus 8745 x .92= 8045 plus 995 plus $475 just because = $45518 ED invoice (2017 percentages..I've heard .93 may mow be .94 and .92 may go to .93) So, look for $46-47k, a bit more if 2018 calculations changed. Even if they did change, a good dealer still gets the old number, they just get it as a bonus and not at time of invoice. Last edited by OneLastBMW; 02-24-2017 at 07:27 PM.. |
