I did a lot of research and it didn't seen like all this info was available on one thread so I decided to make a thread to clarify all the questions I had before doing this upgrade.
Just like others here i could not stand the one side exhaust so i went ahead and purchased a 335i exhaust. Just to let others know that I purchased a 335i exhaust and put it on my 428i with no problems. I believe any x35i exhaust will fit with a 428i with no problems. Here are the links I used to purchase the defuser & exhaust. Once the install was complete I put the car in sports mode and gave it a couple of hard revs so the left exhaust valve would open up. I disconnected the wire and now both exhaust are open at all times. http://www.ebay.com/itm/301755370619...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.com/itm/232265702653...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT. Took it to a local muffler shop and had them installed for $90.00. They did a great job with the alignment. So in total i spent a little over $600 to get this done.
