No.

Actually helps to correct the speedo error that all BMW has from factory.

Just to confirm:

I've got a 2017 340i (RWD) on order with the track package (so M Performance brakes). Going with the 19" 442Ms for the summer tires but being in NJ, will need to run a set of winters too.

Will the 400M 8" wide wheels clear the M Performance brakes of the track package? What about the 8.5" 400Ms? I'd most likely go with a square setup for the winters for easier tire rotation.

If I go with a square setup of the 8" wide 400Ms, will I need spacers to get them flush with the wheel wells? Easiest tire choice is 225/45/18, but I'd rather go a bit wider, like a 235 or 245 width setup.

Thanks!

No spacers needed!

Go with square 8x18" ET34 style 400 wheels, no issues with brake caliper clearance even with M Sport brakes.

If I put 245/45/18 Sottozero 3 RFs on do you think I'll have any rubbing issues on the fronts?

Thanks!

diameter on the 245/45/18 looks to be about 26.7" vs. the 26.1" on the 19" OEM summers that will be coming on the car - 2.3% difference in diameter, so I guess that should be fine and correct the speedo error a bit too.

Hi .BMW.,

I just picked up a 2013 335xi Sportline that came with a set of 18" 225 Pirelli RFT tires on style 397 rims. I have a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE050A summers from the 2004 545i I traded in. I had them staggered with 245/40R 18 on the front and 275/35R 18 on the back.

From reading through this thread -and all your very useful information - it would appear the 245s are the widest I can fit on my existing rims. Am I correct?
I'm thinking since I only used them for one season, I may just buy another 2 and run 245s all around. The 225s just look undersized for the car, imo.

Thanks in advance.

I'm about to buy a 340i xdrive with M performance packages. I have a set of Apex ec-7 wheels which are:
18x8.5 et 35
18x9 et 31

Is there a way to fit this on the 340ix whitout rubbing the fenders? I was thinking going 245/40 square and maybe trying 18x9 front if it doesn't fit rear.

What is the ideal offset on 19s for the F30 to be just about flush? I don't want poke and I don't want it to be flush. I'd prefer just a hair inside being flush.

I've read that the F30 can't have a 12mm spacer on the rear due to hub length, has anyone made one that fits or is that still the case requiring a 15mm as the smallest?

I'm stuck between spacers on w/ 403m or 437 reps. However, 437m OEM & reps all sadly seem to be at or passing that poking threshold.

Those are very wide wheels for F30!

You need to run stretched tires to avoid rubbing, maybe a 235/275 setup.

Thanks for your help! I read in another thread by Velgen wheels and they said:

"This car is lowered on HNR Springs. You can run 20x9 & 20x10.5 with 245-35-20 and 285-30-20 and if you rung 19s it will be 19x9 245-35-19 & 19x10.5 285-30-19. NO RUBBING The wheels are HUB centric and you can use your oem Lug Bolts".

What do you think?

9x19" ET35 with 245/35-19 will fit up front. 10.5x19" ET45 with 285/30-19 is an aggressive rear fitment for sure.

But if Velgen claim that it fits without rubbing I guess they knows better than me.

in my case i got the 20's. it would be 20x9 & 20x10.5 with 245-35-20 and 285-30-20. I think im going 275-30-20 rear to be safe.

Thanks!

Remember that those 20" tire sizes are 1" taller in overall diameter compared to the 19" sizes we discussed above.

To keep the diameter constant when moving from 19" to 20" the tire profile must be lower:
245/35-19 -> 245/30-20
and
285/30-19 -> 285/25-20

I'm looking for wheels and tires for my 2013 335i F30 Xdrive Luxury pkg. Currently I have the square set up 225/45/18 et34. Most people in this thread are doing staggered but I want to do a square set up so that i can rotate all 4 tires.

What I would like to do is:

19x9.5 and 265/35-19

I will use spacers if needed, will this fit? I may put it on a rack this weekend to check for clearances with the current set up.

Thank you!

255 square on 8.5" wheels would be the widest setup I can recommend.

I dont think there is room for 265/35-19 up front.
