Hi everyone im hoping someone can help install esys so i can try some coding later in the week. ive got as far as generating the token and i now have this box to select the chassis, i think there should be something in the location box but it wont let me type anything in, any ideas !

Already tried that, i get an error box telling me esys not found and the location line says searching for esys. Im guessing ive not done something at a previous stage.

Did you install e-sys program and the Token in C:\Data

Ive just watched a video and i dont think i selected a path to store the token at the previous step. ive just tried uninstalling and starting again, but it skips the token generator and goes straight to the box im having the problem with. Not sure what to do now

I don't know if Token will be the problem. Did you install e-sys to the default location i.e. C:\EC-Apps\ESG\E-Sys\

Does the Location box remain empty?

It's meant to show the path to Esys. If not it's probably an install problem.

I dont know maybe not, i want to start the install fresh, ive uninstalled esys but is there something i need to delete so i can start install and go through all the stages again.

Did you get the software from Shawn or Almaretto, or did someone give you a copy?

If you have a look at the links Shawn sent you there should be link for install instructions. Always good to refer back when there's problems

ive got the install instructions but i think i may have missed a step of the process and i cant get back to it. ive emailed tokenmaster so im hoping they will be able to help. if i had another laptop i would start from scratch and see if i can get it to work but i havent.

e-sys launcher searches the PC for the location of e-sys apparently.

Did you definitely install e-sys launcher and e-sys program as well?

ive just gone back over everything and realised i hadn't down loaded the esys program file, ive done that now and extracted the files and installed the program. But the box in the launcher is still blank and ive tried uninstalling the launcher and reinstalling but it still skips the token generator stage so that must be the problem

Ive just opened the launcher again and this time it has worked and open the software so all is good. Thanks for the help guys its very much appreciated. Im away to Barmouth with the family tomorrow for a couple of days so a chance to give the car a good run, no coding until the weekend but first i need to reed the instructions more and watch some coding vids.

Definitely a common mistake if instructions are not read carefully. Launcher runs over E-sys; both must be installed.

Premium Launcher also must have E-sys in default location. so, you never enter or locate install.

Newest Launcher also both simplifies token generation (no location entered) as well as remember to configure which Authors to enable (before launching E-sys) or you will not see any Cheat Codes.

So e-sys wouldn't run because you hadn't installed it! Classic!
