2. F30 is an f30 so you can shop 2017 body parts. 3. The car will tell you when it wants maintenance. The harder you drive and various other conditions will effect this. Mine likes an 8k miles frequency. |

Congrats on your new toy. Welcome to the family!
1. Folding the mirrors from the key fob is not available on a F30. I may be available via coding but I am not positive. 2. The 2018 should be identical to the 2017 so you can use that listing. Check sponsors to this forum. 3. Service should be 10K miles. Good luck and enjoy.

You can code the mirrors. Love the red interior. It's the bomb.

I got the App and the WiFi-OBD adapter. It's pretty easy to do the common stuff like mirrors. Just flick a switch on your phone and hit the "code" button.
There's a whole coding forum if you want to learn german and get more involved, but you don't need to for a lot of the "personalization" coding. |

Fob folding mirrors are part of the same option as closing windows with the key fob. The problem is related to liability. Some idiot (lawyer) decided that someone could have their head hanging out of the window when you closed the windows. I coded mine to allow the closing. I think that if somebody hangs their head out of the window when it is closing, it is natural selection at work.

Congrats OP!
The folding mirrors was one thing I "un-coded" as I didn't need them folding in all the time for someone like me that usually only parks in parking lots with wide spaces and driveways, not streets.

Remember - you can fold anytime you want by pressing that button on the armrest.
I only fold mine when parking in the garage (don't want them to hit the entrance) or on the street. I had my old E90 coded to fold with the keyfob, and I really didn't like it. PS - Do a Google on "Bimmercode". You're welcome |
