I've got the same racks but take them off every weekend because they're so loud even just driving around town. Anyone notice any difference in sound when adding a fairing?

Racks with aerodynamic bars make less noise, but no bar is noise free. Fairings are the only cure for noise. If I had a reason to have the bars on the car on a regular basis I'd use a fairing. I don't, so I leave the bars off when not using them.

Crazy how small of a mod a fairing might be but they make a big difference in mitigating the noise.

Just switched my rack from a Seasucker Suction Cup rack you OEM. OEM is way louder for some reason.

Maybe BMW pipes in wind noise through the stereo like they do with exhaust noise...then it's a "feature".

sorry, no useful content. Just snark.
