Rookie way to see if the dealer coded?

My 340i is at the dealer. I installed the MPSPK and the Red M brake kit myself. I took it to the dealer for proper programming. They have not done one of these before.

Is there a way to check for proper programming? I have a Kiwi3 and BimmerCode.

Which dealer in Florida has never done this previously?

I find that very difficult to believe.

Yeah, put your butt in the seat and floor it. If it feels faster then before, then the flash worked. Its the butt-dyno method.

The problem is, as noted many times in the speaker upgrades, people think it’s supposed to be better so they perceive it that way.

Well..that is apples and oranges..but point is taken--with increase in power the difference should be noticeable, but with acoustic upgrades it can be quite subjective.

And yeah, the Mppk is a mild tune so the placebo effect can take place....I do know with a tune like jB4 like mine there is no doubt about the power difference.

My dealer sells Dinan mostly and this is the first M Performance MPPSK. I trust them but they did not put the upgrade emblem on the engine cover nor the sticker that states mod.

BMW of Sarasota. They have M Performance advertising all over but they are also a Dinan dealer for a very long time.

Every BMW dealer has installation instruction including programming which will update BMW internal systems that manage your vehicle configuration by VIN. If the dealer hasn't done this before, it's just a procedure to follow ...

Yes, they certainly push Dinan, but I find it inconceivable they have never done a MPPK previously.

Doesn’t MPPK software increase meter top end on sports gauge from 350 to 400? Or was that on 335/435s only? No idea on B58.

I *thought* I recalled the MPPK did that, but having never had a MPPK and the AH3 had the higher top end stock, I cannot simply look at a car.

nissanite what do you see on yours?

I had a MPPK on my e90 335 which did not have sports gauge, so would not know. But, on the car the burbles were significant without a downpipe.

My 340i came with 400/400 when I bought it. No change after programming.

This shows a difference on the sport dials.

Mine did NOT change after the dealer visit to program. they were set at 400/400 from the start. Just got the car on July 9.

The car does accelerate like a rocket and the meters do show about 370 tq at peak. Bit hard to look while I was hanging on the the wheel.
