Yes it is. I coded the sport mode configuration pop up as JesseSrq said in a previous post. I do not have DHP and now I can separate chassis and drivetrain in sport mode. All I do now is put in on sport during hwy driving and I get the stiffer steering without the shift points. Best "mod" you can make!

But I am assuming the "mod" would only be possible in the Sport mode - invariably you would be loosing the the Sport Throttling and keeping just the chassis/steering firmness. And that this would not be a configurable mod in the comfort mode? |

Correct - only in sport mode. But, all you have to do then to get the shift points too is either select sport + or move your shift lever to the left while in sport. Seems the same to me.

Cool and I see you are local. I have DHP and really find the only thing I would change on the car is the steering. I know they will not got back to hydrolic, but it would be nice if they would release an optional patch - like the ASS save last setting - for those who want it, which would give me the sport steering feel in comfort and something more in Sport/ Sport+.
I mean the fat that the steering changes at all says it can be done. I am going to pester my dealer some more.

My understanding is that Sport mode does alter the shift points but it doesn't shift as fast as when it's in S. It really felt like the transmission was acting like an SSG transmission when in S-mode - shifting was pretty quick/hard. I did not experience that in D in Sport mode, but I did notice the higher shifting points.

Honestly not sure. I like the setup I have now with the sport mode only changing the chassis and using shifter in S when I want spirited driving.

How were you able to re-code that? Any instruction or link would be much appreciated! I've been relying on turning off all nannys to get stiffer chassis and steering feel while leaving the comfort throttle mapping for a less volatile throttle input. This also activates the eLSD. But I like your option for the sport mode for daily driving.

This is how you code to configure sport mode.

There is a way to activate the "Sports" setting via coding on iDrive.
once you enable it, through iDrive you can control what you want to change when you put the car in Sport mode. You can either select Drivetrain only (gas pedal).....Chassis only (steering).....or both. ive done this to my car and confirmed it works...ill take a screenshot later

So it works for HU_CIC cars but not HU_NBT cars... unless I can find another coding option to fix this.

Did we ever get a conclusive answer to this? I want the opposite result, light steering in Sport+
By using the iDrive menu I can change from light to heavy in Sport but Sport+ is always heavy. A lot of what is described earlier in this post is not coding it's just iDrive set-up! |
