So, to summarize for future readers, this is the screen compatibility matrix:

HU_ENTRYNAV: 9292248 ok, 9387453 ok (only difference in tint)
HU_ENTRYNAV2: 6822626 ok

I would agree, but I saw very little blue tint on the 2248 screen.

It will still work if your car is hu_entrynav (entrynav means no nav).

I believe there is a difference between entry and entry nav as in the coding I have just fitted thr 8.8 inch screen from 6.5 inch but my setup was entry nav fitted pre lci screen 9292248 as mine is pre lci model no tints works flawlessly what an upgrade I was going to go with the Ugode android but decided against it I like OEM equipment

Yes, HU_ENTRY is different than HU_ENTRYNAV. The first was installed in cars manufactured from 2012 to 2014, the latter from 2014 to 2017. HU_ENTRY does not work with the larger screen, whereas HU_ENTRYNAV does after coding.

Anyone in So Cal (Los Angeles) update their HU_ENTRYNAV from 6.5" to 8.8"??? I'm going to retrofit a 10.25" x5 screen into my car, and want to know if the screen will work. I haven't coded my car yet (currently 6.5") so I can't test the screen. I also got the NBT Evo touch screen (681638702)...want to know if this model is compatible with HU_ENTRYNAV. Everyone that has done this on HU_ENTRYNAV seems to have used the NBT screen, and not the one I have

If anyone has this mod done in LA area, can I plug my screen on your car and see if it works?? Thanks in advance...PM me

The EVO non-touch screen (part number ending in 2626) works with HU_ENTRYNAV2 and does not work with HU_ENTRYNAV. Someone tried a few posts back. I'm guessing the EVO touch screen won't work either, but you can try if you already have it

Do I have HU_ENTRY or HU_ENTRYNAV? My car is 05/2015 without navigation. It has bluetooth and USB audio along with a combox in the boot.

You should have HU_ENTRYNAV, but in order to be 100% sure, you need to check via eSys software (see the coding forums). You'll need to get an ENET adapter ($20).

No, you use an USB flash drive to update the maps. I haven't personally tried activating the GPS, but search these forums for any DYI guides available and check the coding forums.

Is this the correct part #9387453? I know there is another one as well but not fan of the blue tint.

Yes, that's the correct part no. You'll also need to purchase an ENET adapter ($20 on eBay) to code the larger screen, so I advise you to first get eSys and check if you have the correct head unit (HU_ENTRYNAV) via that software before you buy the screen.

Already familiar with coding using Esys, so that shoudn't be a problem, including my oh-shit moment when i corrupted a CAFD file, but thats another story...

Although now that i think about it, I don't see any benefit of having a bigger screen if i don't have Navigation, other mine-is-bigger-than-yours factor.

The 8.8" screen is WAY more practical and overall better than the smaller one. Moreover, you can always install something like this and get navigation via AirPlay or Miracast.

I am struggling trying to remove the connector to the old screen, there is barely any slack on the cable and its hard AF trying to push that tab in and pull it out..

any tips?
