Yes of course, it looks like a tractor with standard springs but is useful during winter (pic from yesterday, one quarter done).
Regarding spacers my friend just happens to have some so was thinking of throwing them under, but will get some eibach springs first. |

The height of X-drive is definitely worth it when combined with adaptive suspension.
I use 10mm in the front and 13mm rear. I am however considering 15mm rear. Wouldn't go beyond 10 in the front, risking paint stone-damage. Before and after photo - top: no spacers, bottom: 13mm spacers. Summer tyres.

Not a good idea on adaptive suspension
But it looks worse on those couple of pics (taken just after the car had been lifted) than it is in reality.

Why isn’t it a good idea on adaptive suspension? I put ACS springs on my adaptive 335d and they improved it in every way!

Check various threads in this forum. You are progressively shortening the life of your struts. That's the conclusion of the threads at least, backed up by a few failed ones.
Void warranty on top.

Also, i don't think changing the springs on adaptive vs non-adaptive makes any difference to any warranty problems.

Well I did over 70k on them without any strut problems! And ACS springs don’t void the warranty at all, even in the very unlikely event that BMW don’t honour a warranty claim, ACS will step in and cover you.

If your struts or adaptive suspension fail within warranty, you can be 100% sure BMW will not touch them once they see non-OEM springs.
That is absolutely given.

Been a resident of the ACS hometown for nearly 10 years
But I have yet to see a proof that ACS mods don't invalidate the OEM warranty! That is just not true, at least not generally speaking. Here the official statement from their website, read between the lines: "For your Information: Conversion using AC Schnitzer components does not affect the fundamental warranty obligation of BMW AG in relation to the complete vehicle. The BMW warranty can only be excluded in the special case of a claim which is directly attributable to a conversion. BMW vehicles upgraded with AC Schnitzer components are therefore not automatically excluded from the warranty. We would be pleased to supply corresponding information on request. "
