Got a PM from a user named: "michael jordan" with the following message:

Talking about scams ... I'm selling my car on e90post. User diablo2112 sent me a PM via that forum and asked to email so we can talk about the car.
The stats say user ID was created in 2006 and has more than 350 posts. So far, things looked fine. I emailed as requested and received a reply stating "I'm ok with your price and description. Please complete the attached PDF document and I will request my bank to release funds." That was a big red flag. In recent months we had a similar issue at work. Someone pretended to be an employee and emailed everybody in the office asking to review an attached PDF doc. Once you clicked on the file, it asked for your LAN ID and password. More than one entered the info because the email was from a "legitimate" source. In summary, this is just a reminder to stay alert with PDF attachments you may receive. That's a Phishing Scam. https://www.webcommand.net/index.php...phishing-scam/ |
