Yeah I fueled up at the Costo in Visalia CA and drove to San Francisco with a few 90+mph bursts getting there. We visited the Golden Gate Bridge, screwed around for a few hours and eventually headed back. As I was passing next to Hollister getting ready to head over the mountains is when I decided to stretch out my tank. I had between 1/4 and 1/2 tank at that point. I slowed it down to 70 and kept the car out of boost so when I pulled back into the Costco station I had driven 520 miles and replaced 13 gallons. That's only 40mpg but I was driving fast the whole way there and drove over a mountain range I'm confident I could have averaged a few more mpg had I drove 70 flat the whole way.

E90 328 got me 34-35 highway. Amazing considering it was paired to a not so great auto and still had port injection.
Currently my 335 sees about 24 highway. I guess the tune and 6MT don't help so much with efficiency lol. |

When I got first got my 428 I was normally seeing around 34 mpg even in eco pro mode. But lately am seeing around 40 mpg with normal driving even got 42.7 in comfort mode.
Not really sure what's going on. Used to drive in eco pro but didn't get any real improvements and the car didn't feel that great to drive. Switched to comfort mode, economy figures were about the same. Did put in some Redex fuel additive a while back and normally fill up on Shell V power. |

I struggle to get 30 mpg on long highway trips. Average is 28.5 per iDrive.
What app is being used per screen shots above? |

You should check it out. Easy way to track everything about your car including maintenance. You can use the app when on the go and also log in on the computer to see more details like other people who drive the exact same vehicle and what mileage they are getting. |

I did a trip from the LA area to San Diego, eco pro with cruise control varying between 70 and 75 (for once, I was the slow guy...) and averaged 42mpg. I am pretty sure there were a lot of declines, however. That was before any mods to my car.
These days, I am lucky to get 19mpg on my way to work (24 mile commute through orange county on the 5)

In my 340i, I drove slowly (50-60 mph) on the interstate (was a holiday so the roads were empty) and over 500.1 miles averaged 39.6 MPG, calculated by filling up, not the trip computer. I had 2 gallons left in the tank, could’ve gone 580 miles...
And now that I’ve set that benchmark, I will never attempt it again... |

Hard to average less than 45 mpg in the highway and 35 city! 👍

At 24,000 miles, averaging 32 mpg with a high of 44 mpg on a tank. I’ve had 5 tanks of 40 mpg or better. The decent mileage is primarily due to the car having heavy vacation miles, in its function as a comfortable GT cruiser. The high tank was at an average speed of 65 mph and altitude of 5000’. I search out as many twisties as possible, but on scenic empty back roads, it purrs along at 2100rpm. All mpg figures are calculated and speeds actual. |

I haven't had the 328i long enough (7 weeks tomorrow) to say, and I haven't done any long highway trips; I'm waiting until I get the protective film on the front end. But I'm already seeing between 25 and 27 mpg with 65% city driving and occasional use of EcoPro (though I turn off the Auto Stop Start). This is good enough that my cost of fuel is roughly equal to the cost of fuel on the Buick Regal, which ran on 87!

I've seen 35mpg average when on the freeway in my 340. Not bad imo!

The N55 & B58 both get great gas mileage on the freeway. Especially if you are driving in ECO Plus mode.

47 mpg on a recent 125 mile motorway trip here, usually around low mid 40's if i'm on a run.
It wasn't fun but driving on Uk motorways never is. Average speed was 56 mph and that was keeping up with traffic, obviously I wasn't in a hurry either. Amazed how versatile the B58 is. |
