Brake pad recommendations

Hey so after owning my gt for about 3 weeks now I feel like the OEM pads aren't that effective? I feel like it needs more bite to it. I have akebono pads on my TL and I guess I'm still used to those still.

Any recs on non oem pads that provide better stopping power than bmw pads? Thanks!

I put Akebono pads on my f30. Great stopping power and low dust

Installing power stop pads next weekend I'll let you know how it goes. They were a great price on rock auto

Does your car have M Sport or regular brakes?

I've just installed yellow stuff pads on mine, very happy so far. Much better initial bite.

How'd these turn out for you? Also did you just replace the pads but keep the factory discs or did you replace those as well?

Do NOT buy. The pads don't fit correctly so clunk when going from braking in reverse to braking in forward. The rotor hats also rusted within 48 hours, and I live in a comparatively dry climate. You could pretty much watch the rust form it was that quick.
Just get OEM or you'll have to buy twice

I have the Powerstop's Z23 Evolution Sport with their coated rotors on mine and live in the rust belt, they are aging fine thus far through their second winter

My one complaint is an occasional squeal when cold and backing out of the driveway but that could just be me and not greasing everything well enough and ill probably re-lube them in the spring. No clunks though or noises outside of that.

I have the 340mm/330mm rotors front/rear on my 328

I put on power stop in the rear so far. They work great. The fronts still have significant life.

2020 BMW X3 M Comp  [0.00]
2014 328Xi GT  [10.00]
I just did my fronts Saturday. The dealer wanted $875. It took me 4 hours including, first time on a BMW, painting the rotors, swapping Winters for Summers and being old.
I put on Hawk street 5.0, rotors were still very meaty so left them. These are Not M sport brakes. Fairly easy job. Hardest part was getting the correct angle to access the caliper bolts with a breaker bar.
Cost $125 if I would of added in the rotors, $400.
I'll report back later on how the pads work.

I put on Raybestos Element3 coated rotors. Rust free two years in. I got them from RockAuto for around $30 each. For about $40 they have an upgraded coated rotor they call Specialty-Street Performance.

I have the Akebono ceramics on my F34 and love the low dust. Braking is fine, but not 100 percent as good as stock from bite to modulation to release. However, since I'm not tracking the car, it doesn't matter.

I recently put Akebonos on mine. Much, much less dust and braking seems fine
