335D DPF Replacement

Ok, so I hope I will be a long way away from needing this being done, however whilst checking the connected drive service booking options today I notice a new option to book it in with

"replace particulate filter (125k - 155k miles) £3113.00

Holy crap!

Now I hope that with me looking after the car this won't need doing in the life of my ownership, however if it does that's a really kick in the spuds !

Still a fan of diesel though...

I'd Find somewhere that specialises in cleaning them out instead

Agreed, I've used DPF clean team before which was a painless process and cost about £300. Gets them in the region of 95% good as new.

Crazy BMW pricing.

You can get a high flow replacement DPF for around £300.

The dpf itself is about £2100 so bmw charging £1k to fit and reset the adaptation.

Seems a bit ott when the e90 dpf was 'only' £1500, i replaced mine but only because I'd found a genuine one for £700

If mine on the f30 starts to block I'd be attempting a cleaning solution first.
