For F30 non sport version
I have a 2013 328i non sport version, it is currently sitting at 50K and I'm looking for new brake pads/ rotor. Would this be an option for the non sport F30? Also, I'm open for any suggestions!!!

Hey guys - debating on this brake kit (orange calipers I think for me). That said, is this a matter of installing calipers/backing plates/rotors/pads and bleeding the brakes or is there any coding/etc. that needs to be done?

How much fluid is typically needed to flush?

I had the M-Perf brakes installed a month ago - really love them
From re-reading this thread, it seems as if the original M Perf pads (from ‘12) were changed in ‘16? The initial comments on the ‘12 pads were low bite and low dust, which is the complete opposite of my pads. Others have described the new pads at high bite and high dust - the same pads as the F80/F82 - this is my experience with them. Just wondered if it was confirmed that that M Perf pads changed in ‘16 to the M3/M4 pads. |

Dear all,
Is there anyone who could confirm whether the brake disk are installed on the correct side ? A friend of mine just told me that my disk were installed oppositely per the direction of slotted line. Is such installation OK (meaning the direction is not an issue at all) or you would suggest me switch the brake disk ? First photo : Front Right 2nd Photo : Rear Right

As far as I know the OEM rotors don't have a particular side or direction like left or right side.

To proof no particular side or direction for the rotor, I've got confirmation from local SA with the screenshot he took from the system, the disc for both side shares the same P/N.

Hey all! I just purchased the red M performance kit for my F32. What does the coding really do? I know it isn’t necessary. Most likely won’t be recoding. What will i be missing out on??

Per the information I've received, it's related to how the DCS function and how much pressure the master cylinder should send to the upgraded caliper. If anyone else could explain further or correct my understanding, please feel free to do so.

Thank for the reply! Yeah i just read through the forum that was shared. Guess it relates to exactly what you stated and if not done braking can feel “mushy”. Guess I’ll have to learn how to code :/ lol

When I install my M Performance BBK I decided to go around the neighborhood without coding first to see. Yes, the pedal feels like the master cylinder is too small. It took more pedal travel to do the same amount of displacement than stock. This felt typical of a setup where the caliper area is too large for the master and slave match up. I then coded the car and backed out of the driveway and took the same test drive. Completely back to stock or similar feel. Very bizarre. It's not a bleeding issue or anything as I use a pressure bleeder and flushed the inner/outer bleeders 6x alternating, tapping the calipers, etc. After coding, feeling is amazing. This is paired with Stoptech SS lines. I can only assume that there is some sort of valve within the ABS/DSC that limits pressure/flow in the braking system. Maybe it's a biasing valve, maybe it's a flow valve, but either way, something absolutely changes in the hydraulic system and it's not the master or slave cylinders.

All of the coding software is built for Windows. You can use Parallels (or whatever its called today) or boot camp on a Mac, but I don't think you can run any coding programs from within the Mac OS itself.
