Experience with 10.25" android 7.1 HU's

So I was away for a few days. I've updated the wiki with the recovery method, answered a few questions and patched 012042bJLY-NBT-HW7 for auto dimming. It's in the MCU repository.

So I have managed to make front and back camera work like they should be. I am more of a electrician guy then an "android guy"

So
1. After installing event centar apk it is working super, but only sometime, sometime I have to reinstall eventcenter.apk to make it work!?

2. How to make the "auto start up app" work? I whant to install some of the auto start app from Google play to make it start my sygic when the system starts but I can not make it work....

Any solution?

I use "AutoStart - No root" (see Play store).

The SD Card notification is on the status bar - next to the WIFI and Bluetooth symbol.

Really odd - system UI tuner can't find it to remove either!

I think that's the sim card not activated icon. The SD card icon, when visible, displays as a notification on the left of the bar. The sim card icon is on the right side.

How do you act with the modification? the original when turning on the lights the intensity of the light of the screen is lowered, although not enough ...

You can either use intents to control brightness yourself from Android (and e.g. couple it to sunset and sunrise), or I can create a custom firmware for you that will lower intensity even more....
If I do it via firmware though it will be coupled to the lights of the car.

No, a took the power from car back daytime lights (the red one) because they have stabilized 12v...

i am still waiting for my backup camera to arrive so i can try to install it and until then i'm trying to find the best option to do it!

I don't want to use power from reverse light! Since i also have front PDC i will want to have the camera working even if i'm not in reverse ...

Until now the best option i've read is to wire the camera to the 12v that comes from the android unit and to leave ground unplugged and it will work! That way the camera will always have power and the android unit will show the camera when it's in the screen with parking sensors!

Only in original mode I still have the split screen mode.
I have a HU-CHAMP2 unit in a 2013 F31 car (CIC screen look model with NBT cable).

I went to a friend to code it to wide screen with the 2 items in ESYS.
3000 HMI > DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION = 8.8_1280x480 (We could not find these in the codings of the car)
3001 EXBOX > DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display (This was possible to code)

So it does not work for the moment..
Will it be possible to have the split screen in the Original nav to full screen?

Note that this is only valid for the sound that comes from the OEM radio.
The sound originated on the Android side is always (as far as I know) muted. Also confirm if the speedgear parameter (manual/automatic) is ok.

Note that besides changing 3001 EXBOX > DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display (wide display) instead of the previous “schmales display“ (narrow display), you also need to change the system parameters on Android to 8.8/10.25 screen. See image.

I really need help here guys, anything is useful

On the Android side, iDrive Menu button does not take me back to android menu. On the android screen pressing the home button does nothing, and pressing the menu button (to show open apps) does nothing. The back button still works from the screen and iDrive though.

If i hold the iDrive menu button, it switches between iDrive and Android, so the button is sort of working.

Besides that, I can't access Developer Options in Android anymore. When I go to it, it says "Developer options are not available for this user."... so I looked in settings and there is a new setting called "Users" and it shows me as "Owner". When I tap this setting, nothing happens.

I reflashed px3.img but still the same thing. Reflashed MCU and same thing.
I found a guide online that said to install nova launcher and use it to make a widget that opens that Setup Wizard activity for users, but I did not have this activity.

It was working before and I did nothing to make it break, just stopped working one day.

Is there a way I can do a complete factory reset? I just don't want to brick my unit. I tried the reset from the Settings page but that didn't do anything I think.

Anyone have any ideas at all I can try? This is on the 7.1 unit.

Has anyone happened to use the original bluetooth to say that they listen very low? I have the original microphone volume at max.

Hi guys, problem here, hope you can help out. I've just updated the MCU for CCC 7.1.1 to the last version available (auto-dimm off), but now when I put the car in reverse, the backup camera / PDC screen doesn't show up anymore.

Anybody knows where's the problem? Thanks!
