gardX

Evening All,

I have decided to change our Q3 to a Q5 and as always the dealer is trying to upsell on GAP etc. I have politely declined them all but they have chucked in gardX for "free".

I have checked the paper work and they have deducted the cost of gardX off the list price and the amount to be financed. My question is does anyone have it and do you recommend it?

Thanks

Up to you but I would assume the same head rag dragger who is tasked with "cleaning" cars before delivery and at service time, will just be tasked with dragging the same dirty swirl magnet Rag with guard x on it.

If the car is brand new you may stand a chance the dealer putting this stuff on properly, if it has any age on the car I cant see the dealer applying this product correctly. I have on 2 occasions received a similar product FOC when arguing about price but the cost of correct application from a detailer put me off and remember it needs refreshing to keep up with longevity. Done properly and a maintenance regime undertaken it is good stuff

my local dealer included GuardX when I bought my F30 few years back and mentioned in a couple of weeks, proof of the application will be in the post from GuardX! 2 months later and nothing turned up so I contacted GuardX which said, they do not have any record of my car being treated by them!!! I chased the sales guy, who said as I got a good deal on the car it was not included! unfortunately for him, I had an email from him so they reapplied it and gave a bag of GuardX goodies! not worth it, you can buy their cheap sh*t on ebay for a few quid!!

You can buy it on ebay for £25, so how it's worth £300 according to dealers, I've no idea!!!
