Queit Summer Tires for F36
Hello friends, I have a 2016 F36 428i and I'm going to need some new tires in the next month or two. I live in Phoenix, Arizona so I'm probably going to go with the "year-round summer tires" strategy since It doesn't really ever get too cold. I currently have the factory runflats on still and my biggest complaint is how loud they are. I want something a bit quieter on the street since my car is my daily. I was looking at getting the Firestone Indy 500s, I've heard a lot of good things about those for the price. I don't think I'll ever really drive my car hard enough to warrant getting Michelin PS4s so I think the Indy 500s are a better idea.
Thoughts? |

Just remember to build yourself a flat fix kit. Plugs, compressor, etc.

I've considered the Indy 500's before on a different vehicle, but they were easily 3~4 pounds heavier than the other tires I was running and would cancel out any weight savings I made by going to a lighter wheel. How do you like them in the rain? |

My last tire change on my E90 335i, I went from Bridgestone S-04 PP to Indy 500 since I read they were great tires for the price and wasn't planning to keep the car much longer.
And for the price, they are indeed very good tires. But I wouldn't buy them again. |

Maybe look into the Pirelli PZero PZ4s.

MPS4S are my vote. Ive had them for 2 summers now and they are great. They have barely worn down and i do not beat on my car other then some spirited driving very occasionally. No burnouts, tracking, etc.. i fully expect to get 2 more summers out of the tires.
