Tinted Headlights & Taillights - STEK DynoShade
Thought I would post some before and after pictures of my final external body modification. I had STEK DynoShade installed on the headlights and taillights of my 435i F33.
I am very pleased with the result, it gives the car a bit more of an aggressive feel/look. While the tint does reduce the headlight illumination at night, it's not enough to impact road visibility. |

Looks good.
However, what happens if you get into a wreck? Meaning, what are the police and insurance companies going to say about this modification (decreased visibility, etc.)?

Hmm, that might be a good question, but since there is not law on the books in Nevada (USA) that I could find about brightness or intensity level requirements and I have seen darker tinted parts sold as 'smoke' or something similar, I think I will be ok. If I get a ticket, I can always yank it off, but until then, I'm very please with the overall look.

Nice, I had mine done with the exact same stuff, but I'm GSM. Grey looks great with the tinted headlights.

I think that looks great!
My F32 has the black gloss exterior trim and I just swapped out the chrome grills for black and tinting is a must in my case. I ended up buying the Lamin-X headlight protection in "tint". Thanks for posting because this was exactly what I needed to see to be sold on tinting the headlights a little. |

The cops might not care, an insurance carrier may. Considering how bad BMW headlights are to begin with the last thing I'd do is to make them worse.

There are three types of STEK light protection film.
DYNOshade (45% transmittance), DYNOsmoke (30% transmittance), DYNOyellow I used DYNOshade Reference here: https://www.stek-usa.com/dynoshades |
