Thinking about getting my car lowered on H&R Super sports
A few questions if you don't mind 1) Will there be rubbing on 19 inch rims? 2) How bad is ride quality on 19s + Super sports? 3) Will it cause damage to the other suspension parts? 4) What's the install cost like on average for springs? 5) I'm going to put a front splitter on, will clearance be a huge issue? TY! Last edited by Cpatel; 09-26-2019 at 02:29 PM.. |

2. please reference answer to #1 3. lowering your car on springs can wear your shocks so it's possible they will eventually give out. 4. idk really depends on the shops labor fees. best way to figure out is to call around and ask.. some may just have a flat fee or charge you by the hour or maybe even per spring? 5. chill.. they're just springs buddy. you're not going to be that low but i've lost lips on stock height so whatever.. |

2. Probably not awesome, if you're concerned about that, should probably go with Sport instead of Super Sport. 3. Not directly. 4. Depends where you live. 5. If you measure your front clearance now, and then pretend it's 40mm lower + whatever the splitter will add, you'll get your answer Likely yes.

Can I ask what the specs are on these ESR wheels and if you have any other pictures of your car with these wheels. I ask because Im looking into ESR wheels and deciding if should go with a safe offset or an aggressive offset and somehow make it fit.... Thanks in advance.

You don't need much if any stretch for those sizes. 245/30 front and 275/25 rear should fit fine and be close to OEM diameters.

I currently run 245/30 and 275/30. And I don't like how skinny the ratio looks on the front compared to the 275. Could I run 235/35/20 275/30/20

It'll be close. Really your 275/30 is too tall for a 20" wheel. If you run staggered sizes, then typically you need to drop the aspect ratio of the rear tire. OEM tire sizes are 225/35 front and 255/30 rear. You're adding over 1/2" of tire so it will begin rubbing things like strust/springs inside the wheel well. The only reason you get away with it in the rear is because the rear wheels don't have to turn.
