Copy that.
I have been in contact with the BC developer, Stephan. A few minutes ago, as per his request, I sent him my logs. He seems like a nice guy. My rear camera does not continually stay on, does not last more that 18 seconds. I can turn it on at any speed. Will keep you guys posted. https://vimeo.com/280381711 Last edited by John H.; 07-17-2018 at 10:32 AM.. Reason: Added video. |

Copy. Thanks. In a few min., I will change it.
UPDATE: Bill, that is a no go. According to Stephan, I have no REM on my F10. I'll need to research this more. Last edited by John H.; 07-20-2018 at 11:28 AM.. Reason: Added info. |

So why are you in the F30 forum?
When I was researching how to do this the references to the camera were with respect to TRSVC, which was a problem, as the specific items didn't show up in my F20/F30 CAFD. I eventually surmised that since the rear camera and PDC were both operated through the REM and since what affected the one also affected the other that a change to the PDC would also work with the camera. What works with F10 I can't say, but it's a safe bet that something will, you just have to figure it out, as it's not referenced on the cheat sheets or coding database. Looking at all the options in CAFD I doubt that even 10% of them have been investigated to see what they all do. |

Spoke with another F10 Member, he is also unable to keep it from shutting down at approx. 250m. Developer Stephan suggested looking at PDC values. Not certain if he even knows how to keep it on, or, he is not telling me how. Today, bimmercode had an update. Thanks again. |

That's what mine did, which I fixed by changing FF to 00 in the REM 3203 PdcParkMasterVar D_SCHWELLE_ 1 . If you don't have that option somewhere you've got an entry 'distance when it auto disables rear camera view when in forward D_SCHWELLE_1 wert '. I found that changing the wert value only changed the distance, with a maximum of 255m. It was only by changing FF to 00 that it eliminated any distance value.

Something I'd really like to do is to change the zoom, so that objects appear a lot closer, like maybe half the distance as they do. I did the macro trailer to see what it looks like, and it's OK for that, but not general viewing. It seems to me that if you can switch from the standard view to the extreme zoom of macro trailer that there could be a zoom percentage werte in some CAFD waiting for someone to discover it.

Hi all
Been reading the thread but I'm a coding newbie and don't want to go messing things up! Hoping for some clarification I'd like to be able to activate all my cameras (reverse, top view and side view) at any speed of driving but also have them all automatically deactivate after a certain distance travelled. I.e. make activation independent of speed and only reliant on distance. That way I can turn on side or top view on a highway to check something if necessary but have it turn off by itself a few moments later after travelling a short distance. What sections do I need to modify for those settings and to what? I've set the PDC CUT_OFF_SPEED to FF and both V_SCHWELLE values to wert_03/FF as directed by the PDF guide on page one of this thread, and left the distance values for PDC and RVC deactivation as default/wert_02. Does that sound about right? If it makes any difference I'd like to keep the RVC automatically coming on when I select reverse. Thanks for your help! |

Please back-up with the complete info - no pun intended!
I do understand that the vehicle has to have some coding done - but where is this coding hardware & software? I have a 2016 750i xDrive. Because of many factors, including the rear sunshade...water on the rear glass...etc, my inside rear facing dashcam only captures 50% of hte action.
So, when I came across your coding, I can solve my problem by having an inside cam facing the back-up screen :-) But what do I need? I've looked everywhere and can't find the details of what to buy and where. That's why I asked if you could back up and cover what's needed to get started and where the "code book" is. Thanks! |

I’m looking to switch the PDC and camera off straight away after switching from reverse into Drive,
It’s currently staying on for a while after driving forward, what do I need to change to enable this? |
