Anybody tried to fit 335i/340i exhaust to this?

I always thought the 330e uses a bespoke muffler because of the battery pack...would love to have a meatier exhaust note on mine though. Subscribed...

Modifying the original exhaust is probably your best bet. Depending on much sound you want you can remove or replace the rear muffler, and replace the downpipe with a high flow cat or decat. The tailpipes you can replace with whatever you fancy and thinks look good.

This route is typically cheaper than buying something aftermarket as well, and almost nothing aftermarket is confirmed to fit the 330e, so you risk having to modify it anyway.

Most exhaust shops will be able to help you out with a custom exhaust, but having tips on both sides will require some additional modification (and possibly to your bumper too). I went with dual on just one side (same as original) but with a bigger diameter (2x3"). 2x80mm (3.15") will fit too, but I didn't find one I liked.

I have the sportline bumpers so I'm considering getting a new m sport rear bumper + diffuser anyways. Also the closest exhaust shop is 9+ hours away so i'm trying to find something that I can do myself. Do you have pics of your setup?

So, here's a bunch of pics. Before/after removing mid-muffler, before/after replacing rear muffler (note that the tail pipes on this pic is not the ones I ended up with, which are slightly bigger). And downpipe (haven't got a pic of that on the car). The final two pictures (in box and on the car) show the tailpipe I currently have. Pretty similar looking than the one in the closeup, but slanted and a bit bigger (3")

That looks really good, but its the symmetric aesthetic im looking for so I'm not sure if i'd go for something like that. How's the sound after removing the mid muffler?

Removing the mid muffler had little effect, perhaps slightly deeper sound and a slight drone when the engine meets resistance at medium RPMs (say going up a hill). If I were to do it again I probably would have left it there. Replacing the rear muffler and replacing the downpipe had the most significant impact on the sound.

The rear muffler is now a Magnaflow 11376 that has a nice deep sound, reasonably quiet on idle/cruise, and pretty loud on WOT. The downpipe increased the sound an additional 50% or so, but no additional drone and still pretty quiet during cruising. (It's a catted 200cel downpipe, not catless)

Nice. So the valve controls whether it goes through the left or right pipe? Should be pretty loud even when it goes through the muffler? Any drone?

Only the left pipe is straight piped when the valve is open, else the flow goes through the muffler to both pipes. Yes, it is pretty loud with very deep sound. Sound is perfect on the front seat but at the back seat there is little drone.

No issues with the lampda, fault codes and so on with the downpipe?

To ensure no fault codes, you need a tune. I have BM3, so the fault code is supressed.

That being said, I ran with the downpipe without a tune for two months without any fault codes - but most downpipes will throw a code eventually.

I run a custom map so that could be an issue for me. Unless i have it remapped again.
I heard that the fault code could be avoided if you use a spacer on the lampda to move it away a bit.

The BM3 suppresses all fault codes, right? That could be a bit dangerous.

Yes, a spacer works sometimes. The downpipe I have from RM Motors has a built-in spacer (a pipe extending from the actual downpipe).

BM3 only suppress/deactivate the catalytic efficiency sensor, and only if you specifically activate that feature. It does not suppress anything else.
