BMW F30 328i Stage 2 Tune
Good Day
I'm sure that some of the members here have tuned their BMW F30 328i to get more power. I was wondering if anyone has specifically done a Bootmod3 Stage 2 with upgraded IC, DP and Chargepipe) on their car, what sort of WHP did they get (if it was Dynoed) and whether it's reliable. Does it actually feel way faster / like a new car like how everyone says? Happy for people to share if anyone has also done a Stage 1 stock tune and whether it was still reliable or not? I heard JB4 is another great option but it's just plug and play and doesn't provide as smooth of a delivery as Bootmod3. My 328i is now above 100,000 kms and I was wondering if tuning a great option for more power and whether it will still be reliable for its mileage. Thanks |

I've had a JB1 in my wifes for almost 5 years now, installed it a week after I bought it.
Car was an ex-demo and only had 3000klms on it. Pretty decent gains for $500 View post on imgur.com Last edited by rednose; 12-02-2019 at 06:12 AM.. |

They are rated at 180kw @ the flywheel Take away a drive train loss of around 18-20% and its right on the money. Either way, I never look at what the starting point on a dyno is as they all read different. I only look at the delta between the 2 runs. |

There's been some cases of people saying that on their 328i. Guess it's not true / the dynos give unrealistic readings. |

I haven't raced this one as it's the wife's daily and I don't want to flog it. My car on the other hand makes 476rwks on that dyno and traps 140MPH If I was to take it to another shop it may read higher. I guess what you should take from it is when tuning, the only thing you should care about is the delta between runs after your mods. |
